Sweet! -
Sold to straps to Dave. The deal was as smooth as a set of flatwound strings, with instant payment and top notch comms. He's a good 'un people!

My first decent bass was a Westone Superheadless. It had a superb EQ system in it and was a lovely bass to play.

Ah this classic, from back in 2012 https://youtu.be/x8QibZQbxSc

I had a Spyder 550 and it was superb. Can't remember the valve configuration but I remember the core tone was just lovely.

Beauty is clearly in the eye of the beholder, because that does nothing for me visually. Sounds good though, which I guess is what really matters.

It's a Providence Dual Bass Station two channel preamp. I was using it to switch between the fretless and my upright

Put simply two 8 ohm cabs means the amp sees a 4 ohm load, and divides it equally between the two as they have the same impedance. So your K1 has the potential to put 500 watts into each cab The good news is you will probably never use every single watt. so the fact the 2x10 is only rated at 400 watts should not be an issue.

I'd put them next to each other, or use the combo as a woofer underneath with the 2x10 on top. Remember that both cabs see equal wattage. That is a great combo. I had one but sold it for a similarly high powered head but with more versatile EQ (Little Marcus 800). I still have the TRV123 extension cab.

Excellent signature cab made by Markbass for Alain Caron. The 3-way cab features a new custom 12" speaker with 800W power handling, a special new 5" speaker, and a new 1" compression driver. Very high fidelity cab: you really hear what your bass sounds like. The cab has been used very little and is in mint condition. It comes with a very nice "Hot Covers" padded cover (£46). These are £749 new. I'm asking £575 couriered (in the original box) within the UK . IMPEDANCE : 8 ohms SPEAKER SIZE: 1x12" + 1x5" TWEETER: 1" coil compression tweeter BASS PORT: rear POWER HANDLING: 800W RMS CROSSOVER FREQUENCIES: 1.5 KHz / 5.5 KHz FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 40 Hz to 20 kHz SENSITIVITY: 99 dB SPL WEIGHT: 46.73 lbs / 21.2 Kg WIDTH: 14.9 in. / 38 cm DEPTH: 17.12 in. / 43.5 cm HEIGHT: 23.22 in. / 59 cm

Acoustic (fretless) bass recommendations?
franzbassist replied to ForestPoetry's topic in Bass Guitars
La Bella nylon flats are superb on an acoustic, especially if you're plugging in. -
We had a "twin skin" wooden garden room built a few years ago. It's fully insulated and is usable without additional cooling/heating in all but extremes of temperature. Equipment (amps, drums, electric piano etc) don't seem to suffer in it at all. I don't leave high value instruments out there but cheap ones seem to cope fine in all conditions. Even though it's insulated and has double glazed windows, there's very little attenuation the minute you hit a snare or plug something in! It's morphed into a boycave for my 15yo son recently: PS4 with large flat screen TV and arm chair, and a Roland electric drum kit, seem to dominate the space!
