Anyone got any tips? I need to find a new one; preferably one who plays some guitar; who has a penchant for AC/DC, Black Spiders, et al. As we found the last one by happenstance, none of us have ever really had to go looking. Does anyone have any tips for finding one - from advertising to auditioning, etc. Based in York, if that helps any. Many thanks BC!

My old Pink BC Rich Eagle has covered everything, and probably raised eyebrows on every occasion. Still, it's about the music.

Deaver has my old T-bird for sale on here - a dead ringer for this one. I thoroughly enjoyed mine. I slipped my disc and it was a tad too heavy whilst I was recovering, so mine went on it's way. I'd have no regrets about having it back, or picking up a 4-string, as it was a very lovely bass. The string spacing is very narrow. Definitely something which takes some getting used to. Congrats on the new bass! They are ever-so cool!

I've played the American Standard in the window of Banks, York. It's a nice bass, but but not worth the original £1049 price tag - in fact I'd still shy away from it's reduced £899 sticker. Good basses, but I'm not sure if they're all that. I'd be much more inclined to go second hand. Some tried, trusted and loved instrument from here, will give you much the same and save on your pocket.

I'll second some of the above - sounds like time for some more Mids!

Big Carlos fan. Interesting comment on the Nickel roundwounds - is that what they do to the sound? I've obviously not tried enough strings!
