Here's my more modest contribution - a recent acquisition, my NS-2JR-A. It's a 2008 Czech reissue of the 1983 original, with 83 of each colour (black, White and Natural) available worldwide. Very happy to have mine, the active EMGs making for a nice super-Jazz, if not perhaps to traditional Spector specifications. Sorry they're a bit lop-sided. I bought the wife an iPad for anniversary - haven't mastered it!!! Bass/hound crossover!
B5, I can guarantee that you are a leagues better bass player than me. I can't read, I sit on root notes etc. Your technical ability (whatever it is) is perfectly adequate for many bands, so wave goodbye to this lot and there will be someone else out there in which you will fit in perfectly. Chemistry between band members is more important than ability IMHO
Absolutely in agreement.

I didn't see much of the body. The dildo-esque headstock continues to distract attention when looking at these basses.

I'd like quite a lot of things, but I suspect I shall simply be marshalling the pennies for the time being - I just bought a houseful of new carpet; I'm mid-decorating; I've just gone private with my dentistry; and I've bought the wife a trip to China; oh, and this weekend is our first anniversary. Add in the usual weddings, birthdays, casual dining and boozing, and I don't think I'll be doing much with my salary for the time being beyond slowly topping up the GAS fund in my sig. When it's sufficient I'll be spending. That said, I would crack open some savings for any of the following: Another Spector - preferably an original NS2J USA BC Rich Eagle - maybe YOB? Gibson Victory Artist Gibson Ripper - love my Grabber that much, so why not? Gibson RD Artist... or the First Act Delgada. Love that. Fret King Ventura 80 Simony Killer - or similiar. Think mid-heavy reverse Rickenbacker, perfect for some J-rock That said, it's nice to be window shopping; and a little discipline with the spending is always welcome in these times.
The vocal dynamic is too limited as is her range. You get this with female vocals a lot but you need to help her shift around the songs more so it is not just the one continuous monotone type vocal coming at you every song. Give her a chance to sing something really well rather than pound the same old set all the time. You really have to go with what a vocalist can sing rather than impose on them a set that you want to do. The band has energy but the thing that came across to me through that clip that it was all bish-bosh-bash and the songs all were delivered in the same way.
If you'd like my thoughts, then they'd be much in line with the above. I think I could have you play live in any pub I was in and enjoy it; no objections on my part, and I'd not be hyper-critical for no end. I didn't see/hear anything horrible there, and I'd echo Warwickhunt in giving kudos to those getting out and playing. So... Pick out some real belters which suit all band members, and allow you to breakout the vocals some. Work on stage presence and engaging the punters - which I imagine would follow from the above.

I forgot to note that I was paraphrasing a whole variety of previous comments... I'm not a Youtube player, sadly -
This is as good a thread as any to ask in - but does anyone fancy some kind of MIM Jazz/MIM Precision swap?

I just think that most of us are resisting the idea that a single learning style and direction will suit all abilities and ambitions. -
Just had a nosey around the WWW. Seems Tab was in use from the 1300's and Modern notation for the 16th century. doesn't that make Tab older
Someone should edit that Wikipedia entry to note that you can only access sophisticated forms of music via a deep and un-erring understanding of modern musical theory and notation.
