    I know . It was like new when I had it (guy who had it built, only probably had it for a couple of years) , and I've owned it for nearly 30 years now . Every mark on the body is mine - back of the neck is still as smooth as it left the factory . It'll be a bass I'll remember forever , but it's not going to get played at all . As much as it'll upset me to sell it , and it will , I have to be brutal about it . Hopefully meeting up with someone in a few days . I'll probably end up like Mr Travis , and try and buy it back in 10 years .

    Musicman Stingray Modulus hybrid . Culling my 4 strings , and now selling the bass that I said , I'd never sell . I bought this in around '92 , as a fretless . Had a matched fretted one , but missed out at the last minute on that . Guy I bought it off wanted Modulus necks on his Stingrays , and shipped in two Modulus Quantum necks direct from the factory . He kept the MM hardware , and electrics , and got Rodger Giffin , to make him a more fancy topped body . Stuck all the electrics back in and fitted the neck . The neck is one of the old Quantum trussrod free ones . Needed it fretted , and only person who was willing to do it , was a guy called Steve Smith from Southend - there's a thread somewhere mentioning him . I can only assume that the frets are stainless , as in 27 years of hard gigging , I've only had one fret dress up - around 10 years ago , by Martin Booth . I have gigged this hard from '93 to 2020 . Had a large collection over the years , but this was the only bass I ever used , as I could do anything on it . Don't worry about having a bass relic'ed for you - I've saved you the trouble . I used to have heavy 'downtune' strings on this , and dropping from low E to a C , holds really well - better than many 5's I've had . Modulus neck # - 880641 MM Bridge # B022379 Weight on scales - 10lbs I have this in a double gigbag , that has another bass in it , so alas , I have no case or bag to go with this . It'll be a gut wrench for this to go , as it's been my mate for close 30 years now , but as I've now gone 'full 5' , it'll never be gigged again . Difficult to price this , as it's sort of a 'one off' , but I reckon £850 is about right . I can travel a bit to meet half way , and would prefer cash really . Thanks . Paul .

    It was sold , then it wasn't . It's currently on hold for a guy in Manchester (I'm in Norfolk) , who's coming down to pick it up in October kid's Half Term . I know it's a way off , but I promised him 2nd dibs . I can let you know if it falls through .

    Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 412 cab for sale . Bought this over 18 months ago from the GuitarGuitar flash sale of their left over new/old stock , Powerhouse range - as I believe they were going all Subway gear . I have only used it once - my final gig in Jan 2020 with a heavy band I'd been with for over 25 years . Didn't know at the time it would be my final gig , but the madness started , and I decided to change direction . If I were still in this band , then this cab would be going nowhere , as with the DB751 I had at the time , it was a Godlike sound . Gone back to using my 410 or 212 , for now , so this cab is no longer required . If memory serves , I paid around £820ish for it . There's not a mark on it - not even dust . This cab will be impractical to courier , so I can meet half way , as long as it's not halfway across the country . As always , cash is king , but quite fancy another Berg 212HD , so some sort of deal could be done . Thanks for looking . Paul .

    When funds allow (meaning when I can shift some gear), I’ll be getting one of the Traditional KK’s. I know there’s nothing in it sound wise with the KB1, but prefer the larger look- more original Baby Bass look. Contacted them for a price list, so I’m good to go, when the funds come in

    You see , this is just people getting stupid . As already replied - no mention about the staff . Harks back to the 'ol PAT test insistence , whilst plugging into their sh*tty in house wiring . I've been double jabbed , but don't have a smart phone , nor the little card they gave me , and then promptly lost . How would I be able to prove I've been double jabbed? In my day job , I went in a few weeks ago to fix someone's broadband . Most customers couldn't care less about all of this , but this guy went all funny about me putting on a mask - not an issue , as it's his house after all . But then he refused to put one on himself - same with his wife and kids . Give some people a tiny bit of power , and it'll go to their heads . To insist on the band being double jabbed , but then make no mention about the staff , or the guests , is just mental - in my opinion .

    After 18 month lay off , I've had 4 gigs in a month , and it's business as usual . Last Friday was a sort of last minute dep at a Holiday Camp , and it was heaving . I've had both jabs , and frankly , apart rumblings here on Basschat , no one I know who's out playing again , mentions anything . Everyone I know is just cracking on .

Recent advert on here mentioned that these ones with the 'edge' switch are more desirable - I've had both types , and cannot confirm this , as both types were great . Picture shows inside gubbins too . You'll just need to cut the power lead going into the unit and tidy up (see picture) . I haven't the tools to hand to do this cleanly . This works a treat , and has the really lush chorus sounds that these units are known for. Now £100 SOLD All these pedals have been tested , and working . Found out that quite a few of my pedals no longer work , so have to look into that . Also more pedals to follow . Thanks for looking
