  1. Looking for people's verdicts on these cabs - if anyone's owned one . It's the neo version 410 , with the two side firing drivers - making it a lightweight and compact 410 cab . I've found a fair bit of information over on Talkbass , and the jury appears to be out on whether they're just full of middly honk , or more full sounding . So was just wondering if anyone had gigged with one for any length of time . Thanks - Paul
  2. Bump , and reduce to £1400
  3. Since I’ve bought my Sadowsky Modern 5, my Dingwall Super P5, has pretty much been unused completely. If I was to sell it, I know I’d regret it. I’m sure I’ll gig it again at some point, but the Sadowsky is hitting the spot for the Function, Northern Soul and Ska gigs at that moment.
  4. Sorry - unable to link in clip , so scrubbed the post

  6. Bumpity bump on this . Had a couple of enquiries , but nothing concrete as of yet . So feelers out again . Thanks
  7. Ah. Will do. Thanks for that
  8. Thanks for the reply. Was mainly interested, in how well the interior foam holds out, with the regular removing of the basses- as a normal case/bag would be used.
  9. I don’t know the answer to your question; but let me know what your thoughts are on it when you get it and use it. Will you be using it for regular gigging?
  10. Yes, that’s what I thought too. I’ve read a fair bit up on the pickups, and seems that sticking Nordstrands in, is a common thing- maybe Fat Stacks. Thus making a great bass, maybe better/different, depending on what you’re after. That was something I’d looked into, and just had a crazy idea of adding a third into the mix, that’s all. Contacted Nordstrand direct, to float the idea, with regard to whether the middle pickup would need to be a ‘neck or bridge’ one. They said bridge for the middle. I was just throwing the question/idea out really.
  11. I didn’t mean ruin as such. It was just that it was implied that by fitting a third pickup was ruining a bass. Yet it’s common practice with Dingwalls. Was common practice with P basses- adding a J at the bridge, before it was offered by Fender. Also I knew more than one person who added a second pickup on their Stingrays in the 80’s, were told it was heresy, then Musicman offered the same opinion years later. I wasn’t intending for this to be a Talkbass flame war thread - just merely putting out the question about whether anyone had done it, or given it a thought. That’s all. Paul
  12. I’m in two minds about it. But then again why do owners of Dingwall NG2s ruin them by fitting a third pickup, making them an NG3? I was just wondering if anyone had done it really, and not sure if I will or not. I doubt I’m the only owner of one who hasn’t thought about it. I asked the same question over on Talkbass, but not had a reply- I’m not in their click on that site.
  13. Hi all . Just throwing out the idea of a third pickup in a M5-24 . They're the 'P2 Bartolini' sized Sadowsky branded pickups. Was thinking about getting a third squeezed into the gap . The front would have to be moved forward by a few millimetres to enable this . The middle pickup would then be in the MM position pretty much I guess . Either leave the Pan pot as it is , fit a 5 way one , or the Dingwall aftermarket 5 way one . Has anyone on here done this , know anyone who has , or been thinking of doing the same? Paul
  14. Japanese Metro Modern 5 string for sale. Got this some time last year from BassBros. Went up there to chop in a couple of basses, and did a deal on this, for one of my ones. I’ve recently acquired another Japanese one that’s slightly newer with a maple board, which I prefer. This is the link to the shop ad … https://bassbros.co.uk/sold-basses/2010-sadowsky-japan-metro-m5-24-modern-2/ I’m not geared up to ship unfortunately, but can meet up within reason. Fancy another DB751, if someone wants a trade. Can post some more pictures if required. Thanks, Paul
  15. Does this have side dots? For a numpty bass guitarist like me?
  16. Top man. I’m in Norfolk, and was hovering for a bit on this. One of the best deals on here
  17. 40th Birthday party tonight with the function band. Sonic Farm pre has died, so rolling with the Para Driver, with blend set to clean. Only one speaker tonight due to space. Second gig with the Sadowsky that I swapped my Stingray 5 for. Really liking it- so easy to play
  18. Perhaps they have an ex Sadowsky employee working for them
  19. Needed a pre amp pedal as quick as , for the weekend and ongoing , due to my Sonic Farm dying on me , and no one able to fix it that I can find . Checked various sites , and settled on a second hand Tech 21 Para Driver , from Bass Direct . Went online on Wednesday at work , and was ordered at 15:33 hrs . Got an E mail from Royal Mail yesterday at 14:09 hrs to say delivered . Can't fault that service at all .
  20. I vowed I'd never have another Bogart again , after the hassles I had with the one I had built ; but I always liked this one that Alex had. Almost tempted to get another , now I've seen this up for sale again . There's a link of him doing a demo of this bass on YouTube , but it won't allow me to copy and paste onto here .
  21. OK. If you want to PM your address and mobile number, I’ll pop over tomorrow night after work. Got kids football until around 8, so I could be in Lynn by around 9pm. Is that good for you?
