Roscoe LG3005 up for sale. I bought this a few months ago, but I’m probably not going to gig it regularly, so it’s up for sale. I’ve done two gigs recently with it, but it’s not for me really. Putting it up, for what I paid for it- though there’s a brand new set of DR Fat Beams that I put on it last week. 35” scale. 18mm string spacing. 45mm nut width. 9.4-9.7 lbs weight, slightly different between two scales. One piece body, quilted top, matching quilting on headstock. Bartolini pick ups. Bartolini NTMB-918F pre amp - 4 knob (vol, blend, stacked treble/bass, and push pull mid, which I think changes the mid frequency). Trim pot at rear, which I believe may be a master gain out- similar to some Status basses. It’s pretty much immaculate, with a couple of tiny indents on the neck- shown on photos. Three of ferrules have a split, but this is just cosmetic I reckon- the guy I bought it from was a guitar repairer, and he said he’d never gotten around to replacing them. USA Hipshot tuners. Comes with the Roscoe branded hard case. Trade wise I’m interested in Sadowsky Will Lee 5 strings (Japanese or German). German Sadowsky 5 string single pick up MM style. PJ5 Sads too. US Lakland 5P. Or maybe NS CR4M or 5M. Also Vincent 5s - so that sort of thing. Can add a bit of cash for the right trade if required. Thanks for looking.

I picked this up 3 weeks ago locally to me, on the way to a ska gig (used my regular bass), then used the Roscoe the next night at a function band gig- thought it’d be more fitting. It came with black sticky strings, so put on some others and gave it a decent clean up. There’s no doubt that it’s an absolutely superb bass, but still unsure if it’s for me or not. The 35” scale on it is unnoticeable really, but the 18mm spacing, weirdly is (I’m so used to 19mm). So the jury’s still out on it for me.

I bought this last Friday week, so have had it now for around a week and half. It was local to me, and stopped on the way to a Ska gig. I still used my Jazz type 5er that night, but used the Roscoe the next night for the party band gig. I’m not a fan of these sticky black strings on it - also they’ve appeared to leave sort of tram line residues all over the fingerboard, so I’ll clean them off when I change strings. Will have to have a search on what most folks use with these basses. It’s completely different to my Japanese Sadowsky Will Lee 5 - which was the idea really. I’ve no way to measure, but I’d say it’s 18mm at the bridge, as opposed to the 19 on the Sadowsky. Also the fingerboard radius is pretty flat, and the action is crazily low, making it a breeze to play. As mentioned by others, the B string is epic. Sorry that the pictures aren’t that good…

Is it the poor spelling all across the description?

Used the X version now for a for weeks now, and I’m pretty much sold on them. Had a Ska gig with ample stage room, and a Nothern Soul gig the week before in a pub that was pretty tight space wise. It’s just so easy to roll in, stand it next to my speakers, take the lid off, and store it behind the speakers. I unplug the bass lead off in the break, and pop the bass back in the Enki. I just find it absolutely brilliant. Paul

I've been looking wistfully at that California 11 V5M in Bass Direct. A super light MM style with decent string spacing. But I'd have to some serious selling to be in the position to even contemplate it.... Looks lovely though

Just got the new version from Thomann, a few days ago. Will take it to a gig tomorrow, to see if it’s really practical, or completely over the top.

This Trace Hexa head, I bought from Chimike on here a few months ago. Went down to his on a day trip to buy an Aguilar head, and ended up buying both. I’ve gigged it about 3/4 times, but the Aguilar gets most of the action. It seems a waste to have an amp like this sitting around, so putting it up for sale for what I paid- £1000. I’ve bought a 4U Gator moulded case, that I’ll chuck in, and this has only done the 3/4 gigs. Too heavy/fragile to courier, so will be pick up or meet up only I’m afraid. If it doesn’t go, I’ll just keep it, as it’s lovely. ps, for some reason I’m not able to link a picture, as saying over 1mb- no idea. So I’ll add pictures after if I can. Thanks

Up for sale is an absolutely pristine HD410. I bought this from Binky last year, and it’s been great. I have used this either on it’s own, or used my 212’s - depending on what took my fancy. I’m now pretty much using a 212 and 112 for all three bands, so this cab is not going out much now. I have no cover for this, but there’s not a mark on it. The casters (front two are lockable), were on it when I got it. Too heavy to ship, so will be a collection or meet up half way jobbie probably. As per my HD212 that’s up for sale, I’m after some NV cabs, that I’d be happy to swap with (with cash my way). Thanks Paul
