1. Yup, you would think the two on the following link might have mentioned...... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/219084-oh-dear-surely-he-means-very-unlike-a-1994-custom-shop/
2. Cheers Rick!!!!!! Won't need it anyway, the band I'm in split half an hour ago
3. I read somewhere the only way to date the V's was neck off and look at the writing. My 62 RI was certainly that, neck stamp, body writing. And will you lot sod off, I had the chance to push the button on this and hesitated overnight and it was gone You ain't helping by reminding me
4. Glorious bass Tom, somebody's gonna get lucky All the best fella.
5. Fantastic. If it were £1500 I would be after that. Surprised if he gets £2k for it.
6. Never mind all that, what's that gorgeous Sonic Blue thingy hidden in your photys And ...............bump.
7. As the pictures have gone I presume this is sold? If so, could you PLEASE edit the title of your advert so no more of us waste our time. Thank you
8. Bollocks. Literally snooze and lose
9. Only 25 miles from me, stunning but I've never seen one like this before. Any thoughts please? 1980's Vintage 62 RI Fender Jazz Stack Pot Bass - Fiesta Red - MINT CONDITION | eBay
10. Shame the adverts put me off looking at the pictures
11. Hurry up, I have to go to bed. Early start in the morning
12.
I got my faux-gold guard from Howard, too! Very pleased. And he's restoring a Hayman 40 40 for me as well. So he's keeping busy, then.
Oh Sister Mary. forgive me. Discreet, you may not always seem of this Earth, but boy do you have taste
13. Um, wonder how all these American, Mexican, Japanese, Korean basses get to Britain. Must be a service station in the middle of the Atlantic. As a seller, I expect to put my back into it and thus offer courier and spend the time boxing up. As a buyer, I will now travel up to 100 miles 9previously a lot further than that). As a buyer I don't want to spend a day doing it BECAUSE THE SELLER CAN'T BE ARSED!!!!!!!!!!!!! If properly packaged in a hard case there should very rarely be a problem, so stop making excuses, it's because you can't be arsed. Fair enough, gear tart that I am I will always find a new toy to play with, just won't be yours.
14. And here's me thinking I'm just a grumbly male menopausal grumpy old git!
15. Has this got the 40mm nut that the Japanese 70's RI's usually have? I had a white one, sold a couple of years back. Regretted ever since
16. Nobody can sell anything . I have quite a few hundred quids of gig money currently burning a hole. Quite a few of the basses I am very attracted to are collection only. EG, lovely Inca silver Lakland Osbourne, £700, Swansea , 460 mile round trip. It would actually be cheaper buying the gorgeous green one in Bassgear at £800 (although for me it is a touch overpriced) Gibbo Ltd Explorer bass Cardiff, £600, be almost better getting a new one delivered at £750. Beautiful 64 custom shop 64 jazz, £1800, Stirling, not even the same piggin time zone. The list goes on. THEY ARE CUTTING OUT 70/80% of their own potential market because they can't be arsed to get a big box from Halfords (like I did on Sat) and box it up for a courier to collect. So frustrating. As you were.
17. Read the rules, 36 hours between bumps please.
18. Gorgeous bass but thankfully couple of hundred quid past me at the mo. Just a question really, where and how are the leds controlled please?
19. I have a simplistic view perhaps. I reckon the supply situation will always help those of us who have good conditioned used ones, in terms of resale price. Just speculation though. As to why some sell? Some of us are magpies, attracted by the latest shiny thing. Them pretty ones from the Swedish company for example
20.
I've no idea what you're talking about. My dad used to say 'shazbat'.
Lying git
21. Shazbat discreet? Age being shown, nanoo nanoo
22. Beautiful and a good price. I need to have a good think about this. The thinking bit is wether I can live with sunburst for such a wondrous bass.
23. This is possibly the most stunning jazz I have ever seen. Thankfully it is a bit more than I can afford at the moment so I don't need to sweat about it. Gorgeous.
24. Jim is a TOP luthier.
