I've strayed away from commenting but sadly can no longer resist. This bass is crying out for a skilled & sympathetic restoration back to single pup 4000. Originals in used, gigged condition are now hovering around the £3k mark. I doubt they will get much cheaper. The 4000 single pickup is a wonderful bass imo. I have never been able to get one but I have an amazing HW built to 1974, 4000 specs. VERY different to modern Ricks. Much slimmer beautiful neck, body slimmer back to front and what a sound from that single pickup! If I had the skills I would rip your arm off at this super price. Good luck but really you shouldn't need it. -

Excellent, great looking bass. HOWEVER!!!! I blame YOU https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005529661834.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.pcDetailBottomMoreOtherSeller.32.6204uOeauOeaiD&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreOtherSeller&scm=1007.40050.354490.0&scm_id=1007.40050.354490.0&scm-url=1007.40050.354490.0&pvid=7aef0bf3-9c59-4fa8-b803-3a0be196ef85&_t=gps-id:pcDetailBottomMoreOtherSeller,scm-url:1007.40050.354490.0,pvid:7aef0bf3-9c59-4fa8-b803-3a0be196ef85,tpp_buckets:668%232846%238111%231996&pdp_npi=4%40dis!GBP!245.81!245.81!!!2185.00!2185.00!%40211b615317097527388344834e3506!12000033429025718!rec!UK!!AB&utparam-url=scene%3ApcDetailBottomMoreOtherSeller|query_from%3A

Another transaction with Brian. Simply one of the very best, a truly exceptional ambassador for everything about Basschat. Cheers Brian.

Reason for sale. A car park, a senior moment, a £650 excess. I only use my Elite Jazz & HW Rick 4000 now, so this is the first on the block. I've seen these up from £400 to £1000 (loony). Discontinued in 2016 Squier Signature Series, one of the very first run from 2008. SUPER condition. Factory jazz neck, Precision body, Duncan Design pick up. HARD to find that in any Fender or to a slightly lesser extent Squier. Tuners replaced with better torque adjustable version (original tuners included). I considered replacing the pup, but it's excellent. I considered putting tone rotary & loom, but my fingers vary the tone. I considered flatwounds, but I don't like them. I considered getting a less erm, bright scratchplate but I couldn't be arsed. Light at 8lb 4oz. This really is an excellent bass that I've gigged quite a lot. No gig bag or case, but for another £25 I will provide a tatty hard case. Collection from Darlington preferred, but will look at other options. LINK to full spec https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Squier-by-Fender-Pete-Wentz-Precision-Bass-Guitar-Black/JVU Thanks for looking, Karl.

Just to point out, this is not going to be a replacement for the Flea. It's only me pointing out some shared features. I bought it; because of some shared features (dual concentric, Pure Vintage 64 Jazz pups) which I like. And some not shared features, especially matching headcap, 9.5" radius & medium jumbo frets, which I like.

The Pacific Peach Ltd Ed comes with 3 ply parchment. I bought the tort aftermarket as I'm not a fan of the parchment white.

I've had a couple of the Fleas. Moved on because I couldn't get on with the radius or the frets. Pacific Peach is one of "those" colours. Under stage lighting anything from white to black. Under real life lighting, from Orangey, through to Salmon Pink, through to Blackpool Horse Drawn Princess Barbie Carriage Pink.

Fender Aerodyne Special MIJ...they've gotta be joking!
karlfer replied to jd56hawk's topic in Bass Guitars
The new Aerodyne Precision Special has the best pickup I've ever had on an Aerodyne. Coupled with stuff like 12" radius, Babicz bridge, chamfered arm bit, torque adjustable tuners etc, very different beast.
