Reason for sale. A car park, a senior moment, a £650 excess. I only use my Elite Jazz & HW Rick 4000 now, so this is the first on the block. I've seen these up from £400 to £1000 (loony). Discontinued in 2016 Squier Signature Series, one of the very first run from 2008. SUPER condition. Factory jazz neck, Precision body, Duncan Design pick up. HARD to find that in any Fender or to a slightly lesser extent Squier. Tuners replaced with better torque adjustable version (original tuners included). I considered replacing the pup, but it's excellent. I considered putting tone rotary & loom, but my fingers vary the tone. I considered flatwounds, but I don't like them. I considered getting a less erm, bright scratchplate but I couldn't be arsed. Light at 8lb 4oz. This really is an excellent bass that I've gigged quite a lot. No gig bag or case, but for another £25 I will provide a tatty hard case. Collection from Darlington preferred, but will look at other options. Just to point out, this is not going to be a replacement for the Flea. It's only me pointing out some shared features. I bought it; because of some shared features (dual concentric, Pure Vintage 64 Jazz pups) which I like. And some not shared features, especially matching headcap, 9.5" radius & medium jumbo frets, which I like.

The Pacific Peach Ltd Ed comes with 3 ply parchment. I bought the tort aftermarket as I'm not a fan of the parchment white.

I've had a couple of the Fleas. Moved on because I couldn't get on with the radius or the frets. Pacific Peach is one of "those" colours. Under stage lighting anything from white to black. Under real life lighting, from Orangey, through to Salmon Pink, through to Blackpool Horse Drawn Princess Barbie Carriage Pink.

Fender Aerodyne Special MIJ...they've gotta be joking!
karlfer replied to jd56hawk's topic in Bass Guitars
The new Aerodyne Precision Special has the best pickup I've ever had on an Aerodyne. Coupled with stuff like 12" radius, Babicz bridge, chamfered arm bit, torque adjustable tuners etc, very different beast. -
This has only been out of the box to check electrics, intonation & photograph it. SERIOUS SAVING TRADES. I would value it higher & the only thing I would be interested in really is a straight trade for a US Standard Jazz (pre 2017). COURIER. Yes, I will mainland UK only. BUYER to organise & pay for courier please. Absolute pleasure to deal with Jon. Decisive & did what he said he'd do, when he said he'd do it. Very easy transaction and a really nice guy. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks again Jon, all the very best.

Thomann & Bass Direct are the only ones (except Bax, NEVER again!) who stock these rather expensive & high tech cabs. I would much rather have bought from BD. I buy very little new gear but it's pretty much always through them. From the guy picking up the phone I got the feeling he couldn't be arsed. I'm no longer at the stage of life where I want to tear a snotty person a new anus. Except guitarists, obviously.

For those fixated by the £20. He'd already whizzed me off before he got to the shipping. Perhaps he was doing his nails or playing space invaders & didn't like being disturbed. Mark may have been a bit more attentive & may have answered my two questions with slightly less than a can't be arsed attitude. Still, unfortunately I didn't get Mark.

Yup. Never as simple as that though is it. The guy I spoke to could have been slightly less interested if he'd just shuffled off this mortal coil. They would also have been paid by debit card, so no charges. You could say the same about them, Really? For the sake of £20.
