I was waiting for someone to say this... Blackened Sky was a great album, i think it was all down hill from there. -
I use a 6.0 absolutely love it! The EQ is very powerful so s little adjustments go a long way.

TC Electronic RH450 - Good condition, all original knobs present with no cracks. I will include the official TC Electronic gig bag. £250. I will post the item for £20. TC Electronic RS212 - Good condition, only minor scratches on the paint work. I will include a fitted Hot Covers padded cover. No postage on this pick preferred from Glasgow, but I am willing to meet some one half way within a reasonable distance. £250 I also have a RS210 which I was thinking about keeping but if someone wants to buy the amp and both cabinets I would be open to it. It would come with an official TC Electronic cover. £200 I would happily sell everything in the picture for £680. Great rig at a bargain price.

I just pulled the trigger on one of these. Does anyone use an active PA speaker with theirs? If so any recommendations?

There’s huge amounts of love on here for the Helix, but I haven’t seen much about the HeadRush. Is there any users out there, or can people who went for the Helix explain why the chose the Helix over the HeadRush?
-
Hope it’s recovered mate!

Just start making suggestions to the guitarist about their tone and gain staging. Then after they have played their solo suggest that you don’t think their delay settings are quite right to accurately represent the song 😂

Big stars, with their old guitars...
Crawford13 replied to NancyJohnson's topic in General Discussion
Fairly certain you could put in Mike Stern (Yamaha Tele) & Pat Metheny (Ibanez) in this list. From a bass player perspective Jaco & Jamerson come to mind although both careers cut short... -
Taking a few guitar lessons might help, especially if it’s theory you want to learn a quality guitar tutor should be able to help with that. The other thing that usually gets me out of a rut is learning new songs, especially songs in genres I’m not used to playing.

Local Musicians wanted Facebook groups seems to be the place to find bands these days. My 2 cents is only invest time in what you are enjoying, whether that be playing to 2 people of 2,000 people...

Who uses a keyboard/midi controller at the centre of their studio setup?
Crawford13 replied to Sibob's topic in Recording
Yeah I use an Alesis V49. I use it for virtual instruments, as it has keys and pads. It’s not the greatest MIDI keyboard out there but it’s reasonably priced and does the job. -
Most audio interfaces you buy will come with a free basic version of a DAW. I highly recommend Mixcraft as a super easy to learn and use DAW that is very reasonably priced!

Got EZ Drummer 2 from Absolute Music for £68. And EZ mix 2 straight from toon track for €33 Great deals!

Thanks dude, I appreciate the advice!

Thanks man, I really appreciate the advice!

Most gigs we would be mixing from on stage. However for big gigs we could sort out a FOH guy.

Sorry should have given much more detail. Budget wise is tough as it’s a start up band therefore we are treating it as a growing business. I would imagine first outlay would be between £2-3k. Intend for the whole band to go through, 3 vocal mics, 4 drum mics, guitar DI,d through a helix, bass DI’d through a sans amp. We would also have a laptop and a Roland spd going through it too. Would be looking for a desk as we intend to all use in ears.

Hi folks, Im just starting a wedding band and looking at getting a PA. Can anyone give me any advice on what they use for their wedding band? The subject seems like a bit of a mine field. Thanks in advance.
