  1. A quick 10 min warm up routine always works for me, run some major scales, minor scales arpeggios etc up and down the neck. Get some blood into your hands.
  2. Fantastic Cab here in excellent condition. All details found on the Vanderkley website. Come with official Vanderkley padded cover. I am happy to do a half way meet to help out with collection. I will add more photos later. Cheers
  3. I would try your Rumble 100, and buy an XLR cable to DI to the PA. Using the PA as well as your amp even at rehearsals will help massively. Also a lot of times at gigs a smaller amp is a bit of an advantage for stage space.
  4. The classic vibe stuff is amazing for the money. If you did a blind test I reckon most people would be shocked.
  5. If you are talking about Berkeley there is a big car park at the start of the street that you can pay for, it’s much cheaper and there is no time limit.
  6. Couple more things here we would need to know to help. What “tone” are you looking for? What bands do you like the bass tone of? What type of bass did their bass player use? But the other unfortunate truth is that tone is also heavily dictated by your playing, so if we both played the exact same bass, it would sound different. If you haven’t played a 5 or 6 string before I would have a good think about if you need the high C, as it’s great for soloing and chordal playing, but you have to remember that the fingerboard will be wider and the string spacing narrower, so the bass will be different to play.
  7. Keep a dictaphone around, would say use the voice memo app on your phone but the old bill would probably have you for using your phone... Also a lot of song writers talk about writing being like an old tap, at the start the water that comes out is brown and rubbish, but eventually the good stuff comes, so keep going!
  8. Not sure of age it’s a Squier Vintage Modified P Bass, made in Indonesia.
  9. Looks like you have found the holy grail - A rig you are fully happy with! On top of that it only cost £130. My advice would be stop worrying about what others will think and start enjoying the bliss that is loving your rig!
  10. I love hearing stories like this.
  11. Peavey Cirrus BXP Professionally defretted 35” Scale 18V Preamp Good conditon Great Fretless Bass for very little money.
  12. So there is some good things here and some bad things... I will start with the bad: Its been badly relic’d i have taken the Squier logo off It has no control knobs It needs a set up. Now the good: It has a Aguilar 4P-60 pick it has a Kiogon wiring loom including CTS pots, and a switch craft jack. Currently strung with Chromes.
  13. Custom build 30” Scale Hipshot Bridge Hipshot Tuners Haeussel Pickups Delano 2 band preamp Comes with official gig bag. Excellent condition, Trade wise it’s Amps I would be looking for: particularly interested in Ampeg, Mesa & Darkglass. I am willing to travel to make a deal happen, so please don’t be put off that I am in Scotland.
  14. Ah I see, it certainly sounds like a waste of disk space to me!
  15. The notes on the stave for C major and A minor would look exactly the same when written. But their function within the melody / harmony would be different. What I can’t explain though is why a song in Am come up in Eb major lol, unless the software is flawed.
  16. +1 for these for the vintage tone. If looking for a more modern sound the Nordstrand Blades are amazing!
  17. I think what it’s expecting here is that everyone knows there relative major / minor keys. This should help you out.
  18. In this case, go for it! It will be great! But for a better answer if you like the “Markbass” tone go for it. It’s worth jumping into a local dealer with your own bass and trying out some Markbass gear because they give a very coloured tone, which some love, and some don’t...
  19. Totally the right call dude. Play for the song, if it sounds better use a pick.
