1. A few months back Ashdowns Facebook page suggested that the little bastard may be going back in to production.
2. Pmt list them as in stock in Romford. http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/ashdown-b-social-stereo-desktop-bass-amp-in-black
3. The Gt 100 and the gt001 are cheaper this weekend, £289 and £155 respectively.
4. Sounds like a useful home practice solution, did you take it to the bash? Are you experiencing the background noise that others have spoken of?
5.
Erm, yes, me, as per post number 6 on this thread...
Yes saw that, just wondering if anybody else has tried it.
6. Anybody tried one of these yet?
7. THR10 is the one that caters for bass
8. Why can we not get a bass version of these low volume valve combo's?
9. I have sold loads, I regret selling my Nate Mendel the most, used in my one and an only gig. Lovely comfortable bass to play. I bought the squier 70's p bass to try and get a budget Nate Mendel.
10. Whats the neck like, proper precision or thinner than that?
11. Great looking bass Tom.
12. Good work Tom, you can never have too many basses, can you?
13. I bought John's BeatBuddy, it was as described and sent quickly. Thanks John, much appreciated.
14. Has anybody else gone hands-on with the B-Social? I am interested in a practice combo like this if all pieces of functionality are good at what they are supposed to do.
15.
As good as two three inch speakers can be for bass response. It does a passing overdrive as well.. Which is intentional.
Thanks for the response, agree about the size issue. For a home low-volume practice amp, its very difficult to get the right mix of small footprint and decent tone.
16.
Had a chance to try one of these. They are as good as the guitar version. Not quite as loud, but for home /jam use it's good.
How good is it, decent bass tone?
17. I have the Ampeg 110 v2, decent fully featured practice amp, onboard overdrive, aux in with separate volume. Decent volume, can do loud and quiet.
18. There is a Fenderbird TB too, must be the newer model: http://www.numberoneguitars.com/shop/index.php/basses/ft-01-or-tb.html
19. Somebody give this man a case for the bass so he can sell it and send it to me!
20. Ashdown's Facebook page had an update recently saying that the lb30 may be brought back into limited production
21. Good news, all fixed. Took it to a local guy Monday lunchtime and it was ready by early evening. He rebuilt the existing switch as they are apparently good quality. Very pleased. Pleased I put this thread up, otherwise I would have sent the bass back, thanks for your help
22. I cant quite make out the serial number on this, is this a 1995 bass?
23. Thanks for the advice everybody, I will get it to a local tech guy tomorrow.
24. Thanks for the reply Dad, now off to a Mother's Day gathering, radio silence for the next few hours! Have attached some pictures to give some context. Just wondering if it's viable to fix it, don't think I could reliably fix this myself! Thanks Mike
