1. I don't think I've ever played a neck I consciously found to be uncomfortable, but wafer thin necks - like my old Rick 4001 and Geddy Lee Jazz - tend to give me cramp after a short period of playing. That said, I'm with Lozz on this one - a good Precision just feels like 'home'.
2.
Ben you had to ask - now if they turn out to be reasonable, I will be in a quandry........
3.
great basses these
Cheers
4. This thread is cryptic to the point of sinister.
5. So how much are they?
6. If nothing turns up you are welcome to borrow my rig, Markbass head and mesa cab, provided you can get round to Dartford to collect... Also the cab's pretty big so if you've got a little car it might not be doable. But the offer's there!
7. 'Interesting' fact - Fragile was the first album to feature Squire running his bass in stereo, i.e. sending each pickup to separate amps. On previous albums, he was still running two amps but split the mono signal from the bass.
8. I've got a couple of Spectors, might as well go to the original
9. Don't remember seeing this posted on here before so here 'tis, Mr Squire and his Rickenbacker, possibly the ultimate expression of Prog bass playing and composition and a masterclass in pickstyle. 10.
This might be my old Status! It had wear above the front pup just like that. Saying that, I sold my Status 5 years ago now.
It may well be... Probably best you buy it back to confirm.
11. I don't like the glittery finish much, but if it sounds like Eat The Rich, I'll want one!
12. Sold my MXR M80 to Mr Johnny C - no hassles whatsoever, quick payment and a great chap to deal with. Highly recommended! Enjoy the pedal Mr C!
13. I thought Blue Oyster Cult too... I only know Boards of Canada from the Salad Fingers cartoons.
14. 'Interesting' fact - "Stella by Starlight" was composed by Victor Young for the 1944 horror film "The Uninvited".
15. Fantastic pedal, but it's not getting used so it has to go... We all know what these do by now - it's an invaluable tool if you are a regularly gigging bassist. It's a godsend if your amp goes down - you can run straight into the mixing desk and PA. Also great for direct recording, I know from experience. The main reason I bought this pedal was actually for the distortion channel, which you can blend with the clean tone. I used to leave mine running all the time with just the right amount of grit dialled in. It's hugely versatile. A friend of mine calls this pedal the 'make betterer', which sort of makes sense. Here's the official gubbins from the manufacturer: http://www.jimdunlop...uct/m80-bass-di £85 inc. postage in mainland UK or can deliver if not too far. Open to collection as well, of course. Pedal is in excellent condition, no marks or damage I can see, and comes in the original box complete with instructions. 16.
I might be tempted by that. There are a few about, I have 2 already. Where are you?
I'm in Dartford, just off the M25. Tea and cakes at the ready for any occasion.
