  1. Those RW necks are maple cap, which in my experience gives a very distinctive top-end aggression to the tone. Fender used maple cap necks on the UK Slab basses in the 60s, if you weren't already aware! That's one killer bass you have there, give me a shout if you feel like moving it on 😆
  2. Return Of The Fly - Misfits
  3. Subdivisions - Rush
  4. Blimey, that was incredible! Thank you for sharing.
  5. I dig it. Bass is very thick and present through speakers, but it's a bit of a roots-only bassline. I used to love Deftones when I was at school, until I heard "Back To School" ironically enough 😆 I've revisited them from time to time over the years. I still consider Chi to be probably THE bass player of any genre though. He was the instrument.
  6. Caline Pressure Tank compressor, excellent condition with original box. Velcro on the bottom. £25 inc. UK postage.
  7. Sculpture of Man - Manic Street Preachers
  8. Are You Afraid - Type O Negative
  9. Shoot Me Again - Metallica
  10. Vegetables - Beach Boys
  11. I've heard the story of it being double-tracked with an acoustic bass for years, I'd never have guessed that by just hearing the song but I have always thought the bass on that song sounds different to the rest of the album. Rain When I Die and Rooster, for example, both sound like a regular Spector tone to me.
  12. Chopped In Half - Obituary
  13. The Hospital Song - 10cc
  14. Daily Records - The Who
  15. Not Guilty - Georgie Harrison
  16. Sewn Mouth Secrets - Soilent Green
  17. Dark Dance - Robin Williamson
  18. I've owned a couple of these, although they were the standard red version without the Byrds inlay. It's sacrilege I know but I always preferred the sound with rounds - that's a very growly pickup, particularly being quite near the bridge. They're wonderful basses. Enjoy!
  19. This bass simply demands a crank handle.
