The bridge/knob placements in those pics suggests it isn't just a case of how far into the body the bridge is set. The body shapes may have varied over the years.
John Hall once stated that a crooked bridge pickup didn't matter, it was only an aesthetic issue and wasn't seen under the cover. If players chose to remove the cover and exposed the crooked pickup that was their choice.
He then went on to rip off Tubeampology's bezel design and release a product designed solely to be used when the pickup cover is removed.
It looks beautiful and ticks all the boxes for me apart from the finish - at that price it should have a nitro finish, the new Roadworn Precisions do.
Mind you, as a signature bass, perhaps Ms Lee didn't want it!
