    Years ago, there weren't any bass effects in the early days of sabbath. For example , nib was probably a Wah and fuzz box. Could be wrong tho'

    Mmm. I nearly went for this about an hour ago. Then I thought ; is it good for metal? Then I thought about me not being in a band at the moment. Then I was thinking about whether to take upright bass lessons if I got it. Then I realised I have too many basses. If this is still there i tomorrow, I may do something silly and have it;) Good luck with the sale anyway

    Chris is a personal friend of mine;) He supplied me with my 6& 8 string basses ..and my jack daniels bass! Tbh, all of these are ch pickups and are loud as f@@k! Great sound. Great bloke, so buy with confidence. Btw; the jd has musicman pickup on it. Band members preferred that bass sound to my steineyes and washburn status .

    Slightly confused; what about the other strings? If you have a 5string, you must be tuned bead or is it EADG C? Got me thinking now. Surprisingly, I've never done dead. Sold a 5 string recently, and one of my basses is bead.

    Another legend gone. I found his stuff more miss than hit. (Lulu for example). He seemed to have attitude. I remember when johnnie walker tried to interview him in a hotel, and he basically just grunted. Maybe he had issues. Saw him supporting U2 on the Joshua tree gig at wembley and he was dire. However, after hearing the New York album on GLR radio, I bought it and think its a great album. Rip anyway
