Good thread this, which will probably run for ages. A friend of mine recently purchased a turntable, and he has started buying vinyl that has been reissued the expensive way.i think his aim is to buy 'classic' albums like Floyd , nirvana etc. I'm not sure I would do this. I have turntable with some old vinyl already. I've bought music in every version possible (except 8 track/gramophone ). So, I'll stick to the various versions which I already have.when buying vinyl years ago, it was imperative to buy the original pressings. (Ie united artists and not the emi fame repress) albums that stood out years ago (and sill do); tubular bells/sabbath vol4/UFO obsessions/ Floyd / hawkwind levitation/do re mi/queensryche rage for order. The 80s were full of over produced drums . Not all bad, but you can tell the stuff that didn't bode well. Now I wanna reclaim my overkill on green vinyl.

The situation is a bit Lionel messy. If you and your brother agree with each other more, you are in a situation where the others think you are cliquey. If you and your brother were more like Liam and Noel Gallagher., then you would've been in a different band now anyway. Unfortunately, I forsee a little tension at your next gig , the other members and yoko (if she can take her head out of her a&se) will probably notice it. You will subconsciously be a little on edge, and it will probably be the gig that will decide if it's for you anymore. Sorry for sounding negative, but that's how it looks imho. Hope things work in your favour. Don't forget, there is a thread on here about loss of hearing/tinitus . You want to avoid that, and so should they . On the plus side, it'll soon be Xmas

Had an accident with my washburn status. The jack was plastic and weak according to Denmark streets graham Noden . He replaced it with a switchcraft jack, which 20 years later is still going strong.

Also upload pics of the horror setup you got n your bass . You should do this anyway .Regarding the amp; contact the manufacturers again and tell them you are unsure whether the am is fixed properly (could be a bodge job for all you know ). It may not last long. If all else fails, torch the shop Rammstein style !

The racks/power supply are hard to find now. eBay I guess. Not too bothered about them. However, I should've picked up the phaser which would have completed my collection. There was one a couple of months ago, but it was going for over£100. I suppose one may come up in the next year or so.

Interesting. I would imagine that, if you have something like the gallien krueger app on your ipad/phone , you would plug phone/pad into the roland and it would work ok. Looks abit like the iloud speaker from ik multimedia. Check that out and you may get what I'm talking about. Haven't tried one, but want to

Just wondering; if i took off the main 4 strings on my 8 string bass, and left the 4 thin ones on there, is that piccolo?

That's what annoys me about line 6. I have podfarm for my mac. Just hardly any bass amps/effects on there. The interface looks cool and everything. Great if you're a guitarist, but not for bass. The expansion pack is too expensive. Nothing on the ipad either! As for garageband ..absolutely nothing for bass!
