1.
BTW my first ever gig was Ozzy solo in '86 at Hammy Odeon, the Jake E Lee era, so a bit of a full circle type experience last night.
I was at that one. I think ratt were supporting. Ozzy looked like Sharon in eastenders in them days. Not his best period imho
2.
That's strange because when i think of ELO i also think of those performers. Very 70s middle of the road pop pop-pickers.
When I was a kid, listening on my parents dansette, all of the above were played along with mud etc. now where is the o p ?
3. Rivers of Babylon anybody ?
4. Love the new album btw
5. A couple of years ago, me and a few pals were in Poole getting drunk. We stumbled into a. Pub covers band. 'Breaking the law' I yelled. 'Who said that?' Yells mr.vox- 'you got it!' . This was followed by rock you like a hurricane/lights out/ mr.crowley etc. Awesome. We chatted for ages afterwards. band were called permanent vacation. Speaking of cheese, primus anybody ?
6. Need to know More about the op's record collection
7. This has turned into an elo thread. What about Neil diamond, mungo jerry, Lynne Anderson , the rubettes boney m etc. ?
8. He threw a guitar body into the crowd at a hammy o gig about 6/7 years ago. I caught it and gave it to my friend. He met him a few years later and got it autographed . Malmsteen always personalises his sig, to reduce the value of it . He is an arrogant tw@t, but can back it up. I quite like him;) Wish my ipad could relate to the you tube clips ;(
9. Same as above one of the very first to make me wanna play bass. The thing about his playing is far from simple imho. Whilst Tony is the riffmaster, Geezers b lines are more complicated and there is a lot more going on in the background than first realised when playing metal.

12. Saw him at the bass centre (winter '91?) . I thought he did a few more after that. Could be wrong tho'
13. Is it the whammy 2? Tbh, an app should've been done , which would kill the curiosity .
14. Yes, it is good for metal
15. Nice thread. Good to see
16. Used to play the groundhogs loadsa times in the "80s. I've still got vinyl from Christ to crosscut/black diamond. Haven't touched it for years. Huge respect for Shuie ts McPhee . bought a white label copy of crosscut saw in the '80s also. No track listing ,but it sounded good;) Fave albums at the time were hogwash(good production on that album), who will save the world solid and split. They lost their way abit in the mid 70s imho. Got some double live album in the 80s which is pretty poor imho. I may dig out some of their vinyl and play it if I get in the mood, but my tastes have expanded abit over the years, and I may not get around to it.
17. Doesn't sound good. Have you tried factory reset/restore?
18. Ch guitars? If you go to a guitar tech, they have loads of knobs/switches etc.
19. Would love to see Sesame Street. Have a Sheehan bump
20.
I don't really want to sell this, but something I've always wanted (not bass related) has become available so this is up for sale while the other item is still around. It's a spanking new Yamaha Attitude 3 signature bass. I've had it for a couple of months. Last in - First out. It's in perfect condition and has the proper hardcase and paperwork (more photos to follow). Full specs and some videos about the new wood treatment process and structure are on the Yamaha site here: http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/el-basses/signature_models/attitude_limited_3/?mode=model Would love to see 'sesame street'. Have a Sheehan bump It has all the bits you expect - the split outputs (you can combine them by pulling up the P volume control), scallopped upper frets; Hipshot D-Tuner etc As per my usual musical leaning these days it has been played in the house and gigged with an Orchestra / County Music Group The last gig was with an Early Years Ukulele group where I rocked the house playing the melody part for 'Sesame Street' - complete with 2 amps using the split signal system!! the Ukulele kids thought I'd over done it a bit! So - no trades on this I'm afraid and I'm pretty firm on the price as it will just cover my mystery item! Collection / meet up is preferred. I'm in Northamptonshire near Junction 16 of the M1
