1. Motorhead overkill . How could I forget that
2. I remember unleashed in the east. There was a free single with it. The best ever version of beyond the realms of death I have heard them do on record. I wonder if it ever got released digitally ?? I want it .
3. Just wondering; if i took off the main 4 strings on my 8 string bass, and left the 4 thin ones on there, is that piccolo?
4. That's what annoys me about line 6. I have podfarm for my mac. Just hardly any bass amps/effects on there. The interface looks cool and everything. Great if you're a guitarist, but not for bass. The expansion pack is too expensive. Nothing on the ipad either! As for garageband ..absolutely nothing for bass!
5. Nice bass ady;) if I had the cash, I would have it. Buy with confidence from this man.
6. Trouble is, some people are gonna say'its not heavy rock.. It's too metal' etc. some bands like priest, started out heavy rock, but are metal only now Still, it is impossible to say only one album , so I will list a few; ac/dc powerage. .. Their best imho Sabbath vol4 Rush- 21 12 Priest-sad wigs of destiny Ted Nugent-double live gonzo Queensryche-rage for order Led zep 4? Excluding stairway to hendon Hawkwind - do re mi Groundhogs -split Atomic rooster- death walks behind you/ in hearing of Purple- made in japan/ in rock Stray - suicide The doors ?? UFO - obsession Some albums (sabotage/ Montrose /rainbow )had a few poor tracks on side 2 which prevented them for being great. Side 1 would be awesome, and an ep would have been best ever. Imho of course;) btw forgot the rods first album.. Awesome
7. I was at Dorset this weekend. Better not turn this into a mungo jerry thread. Or smashie and nicey;)
8. Nothing to write home about. In America , it was ozzy and metallica puppets on the same bill. Metallica were tearing it up, and ozzy was wearing makeup and wigs.
9.
BTW my first ever gig was Ozzy solo in '86 at Hammy Odeon, the Jake E Lee era, so a bit of a full circle type experience last night.
I was at that one. I think ratt were supporting. Ozzy looked like Sharon in eastenders in them days. Not his best period imho
10.
That's strange because when i think of ELO i also think of those performers. Very 70s middle of the road pop pop-pickers.
When I was a kid, listening on my parents dansette, all of the above were played along with mud etc. now where is the o p ?
11. Rivers of Babylon anybody ?
12. Love the new album btw
13. A couple of years ago, me and a few pals were in Poole getting drunk. We stumbled into a. Pub covers band. 'Breaking the law' I yelled. 'Who said that?' Yells mr.vox- 'you got it!' . This was followed by rock you like a hurricane/lights out/ mr.crowley etc. Awesome. We chatted for ages afterwards. band were called permanent vacation. Speaking of cheese, primus anybody ?
14. Need to know More about the op's record collection
15. This has turned into an elo thread. What about Neil diamond, mungo jerry, Lynne Anderson , the rubettes boney m etc. ?
16. He threw a guitar body into the crowd at a hammy o gig about 6/7 years ago. I caught it and gave it to my friend. He met him a few years later and got it autographed . Malmsteen always personalises his sig, to reduce the value of it . He is an arrogant tw@t, but can back it up. I quite like him;) Wish my ipad could relate to the you tube clips ;(
17. Same as above one of the very first to make me wanna play bass. The thing about his playing is far from simple imho. Whilst Tony is the riffmaster, Geezers b lines are more complicated and there is a lot more going on in the background than first realised when playing metal.

20. Saw him at the bass centre (winter '91?) . I thought he did a few more after that. Could be wrong tho'
21. Is it the whammy 2? Tbh, an app should've been done , which would kill the curiosity .
