I remember way back window-shopping in Denmark Street and Shaftsbury Avenue. The place was a mecca for guitar shops. I'm not sure if Wunjo's was a name in those days, but my memory is not what it used to be.
Glad to see that a physical store in a high rent district is able to hold its own against online retailers. Great customer service cerainly helps.
Brings back fond memories.
I know that, even if I am relatively gas-free at the moment, the minute I see something I'll be all over it like a rash. I can try the rational, mature approach, but deep down there are just so many beautiful basses out there!!
I want to like them.......since the guys at Ashdown offer us bass-players great stuff in terms of amps and cabs.
I'll reserve judgement until seeing one "up close and personal". Unfortunately, at the moment they're a bit "meh" though.
I'm struggling to see why anybody would.......unless they have multiple-personalities?
I am resisting the temptation to suspect something underhand....but maybe somebody can enlighten me with legitimate reasons.
Yep........i started 2019 being really strict with myself and limiting where I looked so that I wouldn't fall victim to GAS. Just like Paul, Stewie and many others.......I failed miserably. Ended up with 8 additional basses, one combo, a HX Stomp and I'm happier than ever. I reasoned that you only live once!!
That is indeed a very nice Warwick. I have a 2003 limited edition FNA Jazzman that I regret to say I don't play that much these days. Enjoy your new bass!!
Another shout for Ben. Nice guy, down to earth and not pretentious. He has a changing stock, some from the estates of late jazz musicians.......eg Trefor Williams.
I switch between basses (fretted and fretless) and double bass. I used to worry that because each was different that I had to concentrate on those differences. A revelation for me was to let the muscle memory develop and , if your technique is basically OK, you will not notice and eventually it will appear seamless. Enjoy practicing and changing....it's a whole new world.
