1.
Cheers mate, I've bought some today.
Plus the one! An unreal deal (in a good way) by Swedish price standards.
2. Another vote clearly in favour of a 2nd hand EBMM Stingray, much much better option than a new SBMM.
a few months back you could buy a new Stingray 2 EQ for a shade under a grand without a case....candy red, blue or black with rosewood or maple fretboards ahh, still can http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Music-Man-StingRay-1...=item483f94ebd5 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Music-Man-StingRay-1...=item3f0837720d http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Music-Man-StingRay-1...=item3f079dab07
These are just wonderful prices!

Woooow, this is really great stuff - thank you so much for sharing!
4.
The day we stop looking is the day we die.
+1 In addition, unlike ladies basses don't get jealous. I am currently at 14 basses (15 on Tuesday when I at long last will welcome a Jaydee to my stable) and find that they all contribute something of their own. If I enjoy the character of a bass and it gets played regularly it tends to stick around, if not they get traded or sold. I'm circulating basses at a much lower rate today than 3-4 years ago and am very happy with how the ones I have speak to me. Also, as far as addictions go, one could be much worse off IMO.
5. Way cool to just stumble onto something like that. Will catch Victor next Monday in Stockholm - can't wait!
6. All natural is so 100% right on a SR4 - lovely figuring on the maple as well. Congratulations!!
7. Here's mine, bought new in 1987 - we've had loads of fun over the years. Wonderful bass.
8. This new mix is just soooo cool. Great playing as well and a very fine example of a top 70's jazz slap sound. Love it!!
9. Wonderful, put a big smile on my face - like this:

Wow gafbass02, those were some amazing pics - thanks for sharing! Love the look with the blocked maple neck, and the blue leds are soooo perfect for the bass. Nice one!
11. Really great playing, and I absolutely love the sound of a Stingray with flats-like strings. Amazing song and delightful bassline as well.
12. Stingray 5 definitely, especially if you're keeping the TRB and not replacing it.
13. Philou is a wonderful guy, we did a trade/deal recently involving three high end basses, and after some quick, thorough and crystal clear communication we both sent our packages and everything went just perfect. Can't recommend him enough! Thanks my friend!
Most are Jazz Basses
OMG - what an absolutely lovely sight!! Do you have any favourite(s)?
15. My first bass was a 1982 Aria SB-R80 that I got 2nd hand in 1984. Totally awesome bass that still holds its own and gets gigged regularly. Good stuff!
16. Excellent interview, and Leland definitely is one of the all time greatest! His feeling and choice of tones is just wonderful.
17. Gee, that Fernandes is one sweet looking bass!
18. Waaay cool, thanks for sharing!!
19.
The original MM Sterling Prototype, 1992 or 1993:
Wow, I've never seen that - looks sooooo cool! Have a Big Al 4SSS and a EBMM 25th Anni 5HSS, both wicked sounding 3-PU basses. Love running all PU's together, gives a very nice complexity and fullness to the sound.
20. Every one knows the A string is the best of the lot, right? G-string - great for octaves, popping and fills, but I don't use it much for meat and potatoes playing.
21. Great looking bass, the Yamaha BB's are great instruments. Have a bump on me!
