  1. What about continuing as-is, then glue when the finish is finished? Wick in some superglue and clamp?
  2. The back looks nice & even, hopefully the top will after drying out properly. Are you going for a satin or gloss?
  3. I always wanted to be a drummer, but lack of funds or suitable place to practice never materialized. Got given a bass at 14yrs old so that was that. Onwards to music college, had to choose a second instrument - drums it was. Had an awesome teacher called Martyn Webber. Had a kit every now and again when practical, even gigged as a drummer for two or three gigs! Flash forward again, my eldest takes up the drums, gets kit, gets alright, chucks it in. Now, I have a partially built garden room and a Premier Olympic kit waiting to go in! 12/14/20 mahogany shells, a Super Zyn ride and some Tosco hats - all of it older than me, and sounds great!
  4. I rest my case. (and sorry for the major de-rail!) I love speakers! More pictures of home built transducer enclosures!!!
  5. Probs left out the part about sobbing outside their house for two hours.
  6. Come on, they’re twice as big as from the middle to the edge, obvs!
  7. I beg to differ. Example: How many pieces of pizza can you fit in a trombone?
  8. That’s exactly like the one I played as a teen in the 90’s but couldn’t afford! When you get bored of it, can you let me know, please?!
  9. That’s almost exactly what I want! I’d go with a black anodized aluminium guard. Love walnut & roasted maple!
  10. I had a Hohner Jack with EMG Select pickups. I accidentally ruined the preamp so swapped it for a Ki0gon loom - pickups sounded great!
  11. Works for me! 😂😂😂
  12. That looks like an awesome beast! I’d be tempted to see what cream strat knobs look like on it - the pu covers and bridge give. Different vibe to a P visually.
  13. Love it!
  14. Pretty sure it was this model I used once when my non-Trace combo packed up 5 minutes before a gig. The best sound I ever had! I felt like a god. If I had the space/money/permission-from-the-mrs for a fourth amp, you’d have a pm.
  15. Looks great! How heavy/light is it?

“The Jack”. Sold mine last year. Kinda miss it, but it was a jazz width nut. Had it have been 42mm, would probably never have left. Sooo ergonomic!
  17. The dB figure would probably be huge I guess? Looks like it’s going to be beautiful, btw!
  18. Fane Sovereign 6-100. I’d fitted it to a cheapo guitar combo in a bid to make it useable, but decided to do the full cab instead.
  19. That looks great! Have to wait til the weekend to sort mine - borrowing a mate’s circular saw to chop up some 18mm ply (plans adjusted to keep the internal dimensions)
  20. Liking the look of that! Will it work if the fretboard has already had some lemon oil on it?
  21. 3rd thread for this pic now. Getting my money’s worth.
  22. Love the contrast between the precision machining, then shaping the front face of the headstock with an angle grinder 😂😂😂
  23. If go no other reason than a darn good laugh, yes, I will take photos 👍
  24. Ooh, I didn’t see the plans were up! Going to raid the shed for wood this week then…
  25. 4x6 line array that doubles as a bass stand?
