  1. That is tempting, but I really want it in blue!!! Thanks though. I have been considering converting the 16” floor tom into a kick, but that would probably be more expensive than waiting for a suitable kick to pop up.
  2. Ta da!!! New driver courtesy of @Chienmortbb. Plan is to add a new front baffle with port, pop a vintage looking cloth grill on and polish up the cabinet so it looks lush. Now to put it in a corner for another 6 months before I muster the drive to complete it 😂
  3. Just received a Beyma driver from John - smooth transaction, all is well!!! Thanks again 👍
  4. Nice chap, doesn’t want to split the kit though 😭. He’s got the mahogany snare for it too! And the rare 14” floor tom.
  5. You beauty! Message sent…
  6. Me too! In fact, I sort of made a fancy one with an Ampeg PF350 and a Barefaced Two10. Would like a chunkier amp to sit on top though.
  7. Didn’t that happen with one of the other Basschat cabs?
  8. I don’t know why they aren’t more popular- they make any fender look better!
  9. I had 2x One10s then went to 1x Two10. Whilst I’m happy with the Two10, I enjoyed the mini stack vibe of two cabinets, and it was easier to grab just the one if I were going for a jam or just needed a stage monitor.
  10. Oh, wow. I’ve seen the pics before, but just, wow.
  11. Very nice grain! I think you’re on to a winner there, what ever you put on it! Chrome would definitely be my choice. What scratch plate are you going with?
  12. Mine needs a little work still…
  13. Crazy that with all those nice bits it wouldn’t be worth more than the standard. Really, only the body is original! How much did it all cost, then?
  14. Tort scratchplate!
  15. 16” floor tom - a little rougher, and missing legs, but in good playable shape. Just the kick drum to go now.
  16. They’re a bit odd - looks like there’s a space for the amp to sit, but there are connectors bang in the middle.
  17. So excited to put it together I didn’t correctly align the old head’s branding.
  18. Thanks to a hot tip from @kingforaday, I should have a matching 16” floor tom at some point soon. Only the kick to go now! In the mean time, a mate gave me a 60’s wooden snare in red silk wrap. Needed a new reso head and some tension rods, but it’s all together and sounding pretty “phat”, for the grand total of a little over £20!
  19. Does JMJ’s original have that “feature”, though?
  20. I agree - I prefer the go-faster stripe continuity!
  21. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I read the comments first, then went for a look. I actually don’t think it’s that bad!! No way worth that much though - £1k maybe, but I’m clueless on the value of the original bits left on it.
  22. Like Welsh? Or something more exotic?
  23. Hey, pigeons! Want a cat? What about Matt black or mint white?
  24. Pretty! Would have snapped this up if it were 2 months ago when I was looking for a tele - that’s lush!
  25. I’ll play! A little similar to the above, but full walnut Jag body (stealth-chambered if that would make it too heavy), black anodised aluminum pickguard with chrome bell (symmetrical like on a Jazz) control plate. Neck would be precision width with tele headstock, roasted flame maple with roasty fretboard. No face dots, them blue luminays on the top edge. Lollipop lightweight tuners (chrome). Hipshot vintage bridge (chrome). Hmm, pickups would be some sort of Musicman style affair. Passive for simplicity.
