  1. Oh, wow. I’ve seen the pics before, but just, wow.
  2. Very nice grain! I think you’re on to a winner there, what ever you put on it! Chrome would definitely be my choice. What scratch plate are you going with?
  3. Mine needs a little work still…
  4. Crazy that with all those nice bits it wouldn’t be worth more than the standard. Really, only the body is original! How much did it all cost, then?
  5. Tort scratchplate!
  6. 16” floor tom - a little rougher, and missing legs, but in good playable shape. Just the kick drum to go now.
  7. They’re a bit odd - looks like there’s a space for the amp to sit, but there are connectors bang in the middle.
  8. So excited to put it together I didn’t correctly align the old head’s branding.
  9. Thanks to a hot tip from @kingforaday, I should have a matching 16” floor tom at some point soon. Only the kick to go now! In the mean time, a mate gave me a 60’s wooden snare in red silk wrap. Needed a new reso head and some tension rods, but it’s all together and sounding pretty “phat”, for the grand total of a little over £20!
  10. Does JMJ’s original have that “feature”, though?
  11. I agree - I prefer the go-faster stripe continuity!
  12. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I read the comments first, then went for a look. I actually don’t think it’s that bad!! No way worth that much though - £1k maybe, but I’m clueless on the value of the original bits left on it.
  13. Like Welsh? Or something more exotic?
  14. Hey, pigeons! Want a cat? What about Matt black or mint white?
  15. Pretty! Would have snapped this up if it were 2 months ago when I was looking for a tele - that’s lush!
  16. I’ll play! A little similar to the above, but full walnut Jag body (stealth-chambered if that would make it too heavy), black anodised aluminum pickguard with chrome bell (symmetrical like on a Jazz) control plate. Neck would be precision width with tele headstock, roasted flame maple with roasty fretboard. No face dots, them blue luminays on the top edge. Lollipop lightweight tuners (chrome). Hipshot vintage bridge (chrome). Hmm, pickups would be some sort of Musicman style affair. Passive for simplicity.
  17. I bought the single tom from him - well happy with the seller. Curse you, agreement-made-for-the-sake-of-marital-bliss!!
  18. I know! I’ve got alerts on and checking it fanatically! It’s a beaut - mahogany shells, new heads, the works. Unfortunately I’ve had to agree to not buy anything else until the studio is finished 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
  19. I liked it before, but that balances it so well. Hats off to you, Sir!
  20. @Baxlin - that is such a great photo! I want to know more about the band now!
  21. That’s a stunner of a kit!
  22. Bought a 70’s Olympic steel snare. Really hoping it’s the chromed brass version (eBay seller wasn’t a drummer). That would be awesome, as I paid under £40 for it 🤞🏻
  23. I bought a One10, then another one because it was tweed and looked cool. Only sold them because of money issues. Bought a Two10 when I had cash. I liked the modularity of two One10s, and they made a cute micro stack! Cant see me buying another cab out of need, will probably buy another cab just because I like them and my own personal expression of our consumerist conditioning (egged on by Basschat).
  24. I’ve wanted one of these kits for a few years, but funds never allowed when I saw them crop up. Going to try to obtain a whole kit in instalments 🤣 So far I have snagged a high tom, got my eye on a snare. Anyone got a floor tom or kick drum in this finish?! Or even a whole kit?
