    I don’t know why two strap buttons like this isn’t more widespread. Makes so much sense. Had it on my Hohner Jack (maybe it’s just a headless thing?)

    Love the body design. Could the shape be shifted up the neck though? Looks like the headstock might have a fatal attraction to the floor, and that would really fook the tuners.

    Kay’s tended to have that multi laminate neck. Also I think they had a neck end truss rod. This ones got one of those sensible wheel sorts on the body end. Looks like a ply body going by the overspray on the contour. Is that a washing machine foot screwed in as a string tree for the E&A strings? Love it!

    With the preamp out, you’ve got great access to put cleats in! I’ve seen people using really strong magnets to hold repairs in place while they set on acoustics.

    Nice flamed fretboard! My personal leaning (which won’t be everyone’s cup of tea) would be a darker stain of some sort, satin finish.
