1. I've had cortisone injection which took about 6 weeks to clear the triggering, and lasted about 4 years.I had it done in hospital, and it hurt like help having it done. When it came back, I put off seeing the doctor, knowing what I was in for. Eventually, I got it done by my g.p. and it hurt a lot less, he used a smaller needle, I think, but it is back again after probably 2 years. Also, I was given a slightly different explanation of my condition to the one above, that the growth was on the tendon rather than the pulley, and it is this that snags in the pulley. Same effect but not exactly how NJ described his.
2. If the strings are very new they will lose a fair bit of the zing just with playing. Embrace the difference!
3. As, shucks! Thanks for the kind words!
4.
Sure, MBA, I'm up for that ! The band is Charms Against The Evil Eye. LD
Cool! Do say hello, I'll be the shortest person there, sporting a blue bass.
5.
I'd be very interested if it was available as 4 ohm 😟 My valve amp will go to 2, but my other amps (like many) only go to 4 and I wouldn't want to have different cabs for different heads. As a one cab solution, I think BF may have a limited market of players who'll go for it because of this.
I'm sure it would be plenty loud at 8 ohms
6. My lot are playing the Jericho Tavern Thursday (21st), say hello if you're about. I think we're on third out of 4. Cheers MBA
7.
I`ll drop this in here, as bad as Flea`s version of the American national anthem was, nothing can top this godawfull rendition of God Save The Queen...............take it away Lesley Garrett (skip to 1.20) https://www.youtube....h?v=-cIOH2KTn4c
Wow! I didn't expect that.
8. Has anyone enquired about heft yet?
9. Dad's diagram is a high pass filter, the OP wants a low pass filter. The cap across the signal and ground would do it. No need for a pot or resistor.
10. At the spinning wheel on the seafront. It's the annual Oxford freaks weekend at the seaside, 4 bands,we are on early at 7.30. Will be a bit of a change for the locals, as I think it's mainly covers there. Having said that, we will cover Robyn Hitchcock's Oceanside....
11. Wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I would have preferred a more jaunty tempo but it's not far off jimi's version.
12. There are 5 more!
13. Sorry for the tardy reply. Yes Dan PM me. That's 3 accounted for. There may be 1 or 5 more up for grabs.
14. I assume they will still have the high pass on one side for better dispersion?
15. How much are they?
16. And a frazmotic one.
17. I've got a bunch of 80mm slim 24Volt fans on my desk at work, good quality ball bearing type which are very quiet at 12V. Up for grabs if anyone wants one.
18. Setlist with the first chord or note by each song can be a life-saver.
19. Works really well defretted too! I re-sculpted the head to the same shape but smaller in a 3+1 configuration as I really struggled to reach the G tuner. With the 24 frets it came up longer than most regular 4-string basses. They are heavy though and butcher-block body construction.
20. Those layers sound like something done on a looper. Nice groove though. I think League's enthusiasm is genuine, he just really digs doing that stuff. He always comes across as being incredibly humble too. Often the case with true musicians, especially in jazz circles, I've found.
21. Howdy! What's your band?
22. I suspect Meg White isn't even the best drummer in the White Stripes....
23. The insulation is normally left on and the connector slices through in 2 places. Ideally, you would use a special tool that makes sure the wire is pressed fully into the cutting jaws. They're often made of plastic and quite cheap, but you'd need to get the right one.
24. Phase splitter valve.
