    Could be the Speakon connector on the cab. If one of the wires is off, that would do it.

    Thanks for the kind words. I was keen to see how the new emg pickups sounded in that bass. About the same as the other ones but a bit louder. I guess flats even things out a bit.

    speaker impedance figures are only nominal, I wouldn't sweat it.

    There might be a little grub screw, then a nut holding the pot to the body. If not the knobs will be splined and just pull off.

    Did you take the handle off? May be bolted through to the chassis.

    Embrace the third! It makes some things easier to play, like unison bends and other rock licks and tricks, if that's your thing.

    There are some cool tricks for streaming out small dents with a soldering iron and damp cloth. It can turn a fairly nasty dent into something barely noticeable. Check Youtube for tips and hints.

    Yes, a rail type strat pickup is often touted as the upgrade for a MusicMaster bass.

    I'm tempted to give it a go. What is the exact model?. I guess, being Beyer, they are reasonably serviceable.
