  1. Nobody tell him about tone woods then!! Srsly though, if he thought it worked for him then it did - most of the hardware stuff has more than a pinch of psychosomatic benefit about it. Still awaiting mine - currently says I'll get it by the 30th.
  2. I loved the show: Tina was great. It told the right story; a history of bass on modern music, like the drum show did. i was unnerved by the clip of Bernard though. Amazing playing but that was his final gig...
  3. Great Scott!! I was impressed by and enjoyed his enthusiasm for music and drumming, and what a selection of interviewees!
  4. Ooh ooh, Dinosaur Jr. Although to be fair the bass is not that stand out.
  5. It's certainly on our map - although a lot of other maps keep missing you out because it's more convenient! Bah! How is bass shopping down there? Is it as importingly expensive and hard to get a good variety as across the ditch in Aus?
  6. I know. I’ve never liked regular ‘Birds, but Dingwall worked magic on the 4, and now this!!!
  7. Ruhroh, and the Combustion 6 is even less friendly to my wallet!!
  8. Don't Fodera use Trickfish partly because Mike Pope does the preamps for the former and works for the latter...
  9. It's just there next to the 'Make Toast' button and 'more jam,' slider.
  10. They both look very tidy indeed!

Nice. Want. Oh dear, poor wallet.
  12. Chowny have lots of short scale goodness at a range of prices.
  13. Ooh - a Ventris. How is it, and what do you use it for (Reverb, obvs...)?
  14. Wow - as someone who actually likes the Markbass amp designs/stylings (except the Ninja green) - those basses are umm, well. With the greatest respect to my eldest, who is pretty good at art for a 10yr old - I think she could have done better if I'd shown her the first 50 different bass designs on Google Images and asked her to design 2 basses that look roughly like basses but not exactly the same as any of the others. 'I know, put 6 knobs on a Fender and make it so Goldenyou'll think it's a villain's weapon from Doctor Who.
  15. Ref: daisy chaining with single connector; i think i asked this some time ago and unless i am high i’m sure the masterful @obbm has a cable to facilitate just that.
  16. Europe - Secret Society. Surprisingly grungy/modern (it is a 2006 album)
  17. Approximately 3/7 as empty as the person who finds time to complain about it?
  18. At least i already know i don’t have £300!spare...
  19. Out of the skulls of your enemies, natch..,
  20. No - as previously highlighted it's current conditions with an eye to the uncertain future. The economy is devalued. If we stay in the EU it will have to grow back to where it was before it went base over apex before you could argue that the companies who have left should return. It's not about the result (where x will happen or not) but the period of agitation leading to the decision. Anyway - no prices on instruments means I won't be perusing anymore. I have better things to do than live websearching at PMT to work out what I can afford to try, and am too anxious to be bothering staff every 5 minutes for prices. They'll either reverse this daft decision or lose out. I doubt sales are going to increase using this tactic.
  21. Precisely why there is lack of confidence?!
  22. Yes, awesome detail, thanks!
  23. Aaaaahhh ok, thanks!
