  1. How long til @Doodasks for one in purple flip?
  2. I heard bits of them over the years (mainly OOALH and snatches of Close to the Edge): my prog route was Floyd > Rush + Dream Theater. On a whim (because Newcastle had a brilliant music store called Windows that sold instruments and CDs), I got Keys to Ascension 1+2, mainly because I'd always stopped to look at Roger Dean's artwork. Holy macaroni, what a noise the bass made (the rest weren't half bad either). After that I quickly worked my way through the 70s stuff. Echoing above: although tracks like Awaken or America (no wait, Siberian Khatru. No, Heart of the Sunrise...) are my fave Chris tracks, I think Relayer is my favourite Yes album. It's everything people (pffftt) hate about Prog, and it's utterly sublime.
  3. Starless, King Crimson.
  4. You own so much Spector stuff they ought to give you a yearly share offering!
  5. Hah - for Point 5 I submit Andy Carroll as evidence against.
  6. Tricky. If you're not paying them though, can you expect this? (Like with MPs).
  7. They also do one of these: https://becosfx.com/product/midi-enabled-analog-overdrive-and-amp-channel-switcher-pedal/ Midi-switchable OD pedal.
  8. Wow - that is fully-featured, innit! Reading the tilt-eq thing: is that a similar sort of thing to the VPF/VLE Markbass use: moving some freq up while attenuating others? Sounds v.useful, esp with the H/L switch to tailor it to Guitar or Bass.
  9. Wow - that's a lot of stuff in a small box, the larger unit looks great too. Colour me curious. Any idea on prices?
  10. Discipline is awesome. The whole album actually, barking!
  11. Carve away the Stone from the same album manages 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4 and 6/4 (i think 7/4 as well). Most of the Awake album by Dream Theater is a random foray into odd-time.
  12. Indeed: I think (unless I walked round Warwick Castle backwards) that stairwells were designed all to curve clockwise so that attackers moving up would foul their sword arms (right) on the central shaft, whereas defenders from above had the curve of the tower to work within. Therefore left-handed swordspeeps were handy to have about. As with tennis, so with Cricket - lefties fare disproportionately better with the bat because most bowlers are used to the right-hander. Left handed bowlers are even better coz no one likes facing them.
  13. I got 65% righty. I am also equally average with either foot. Slight skew though - as the reason I use a mouse left-handed was enforced from frozen shoulder some years ago.
  14. Def a sliding scale, with strange bits in between. I am right-handed, but drink and brush my teeth left-handed. Paul Raymond (UFO) is a leftie and just turns a right-handed guitar upside down. (I think that's the way he does it.)
  15. Exactly - and then look at PRSs - they all look broadly the same (which is sort of the point) but vary so much in price. It's a very silly idea.
  16. Second bar is the extended editing bar - which it will assume you don't need for a simple reply.
  17. Loving the quick peek I took last night. Obvs Alex’s backword is daft and Geddy’s intro suitably irreverent. oh crikey, the pictures! The photographer’s a genius.

Well I'm vurry interested, that's for sure! Daft question: what exactly does the Tight button do? (or rather, what is it doing, technically?) I think the complaint that X's tone is in their fingers, strings, basses etc. is moot. You could make a Jaco pedal that accurately captures the noise he generally made and you'd get loads of complaints about how you can't distil his genius. Why buy anything endorsed by/designed with/recreating the tone of, anyone if it can't be done? /2cents
  19. Insulation tape? B&Q Also - spotted the TC Spectradrive in the first pic. Wakka wakka.
  20. I rarely listen to music in the house unless I am doing DIY, because I get left alone then. So all my music and podcasts are pretty much consumed on the 30-45min commute.
  21. It's arrived - ermagehrd!! 3.6kg in a big box - although going by standard Amazon packaging randomness it could be the size of a toothbrush.
  22. I drooled over that colour when I saw it too... Yum! Thankfully I'm about £4,500 short...
  23. Arriving Monday Note: it doesn't say which Monday!
  24. “Crikey, that Bongo is ugly!” ”Hold my beer,”
  25. What does the Waza-addition do to the Vibrato and Delay pedals?
