Be careful about the strap lock attachment that fits to the strap. I had Schaller ones on a Fender Jazz, but the nut came undone on the strap and the bass crashed to the floor! Check them regularly or perhaps put a touch of superglue on the thread to keep the nit in place. Alternatively the “rubber rings” originally for Grosch bottles but now sold for holding straps on - look on eBay.

Very un- Jackson like, no pointy headstock. Body shape is rather Tobias like, looks like it would hang nicely with those long horns.

Curious to keep the “Viola” when it was never a Gibbo or Epi model. Also the Kramer D1 is listed as an Epi? So the Embassy hasn’t lasted, shame as it seemed a quite good option as an entry model. Should have made it with the batwing headstock. BRING BACK THE RIVIERA

I think the original is handsome, metal knobs always have a classy look to them. When you spend the sort of money you’re spending you might as well have look expensive!

With that big old Mudbucker in the middle it really should be named after Stuart.

Seem to be back up to £699 now. -
Also not in the market for a bass costing a grand, but nice to see P and J clones that weigh 3.5 / 3.8 kg. Generally lighter than the Fender originals.

Sorry but I think that’s yuk.

I didn’t notice the slight change in the headstock shape. I think I like it better than F’s original. Looking forward to seeing them once in production.

Ace! But will the lawyers be after them?

The 2013 EB plays brilliantly and the pickups and bridge are the same and are excellent. I think the coil tap makes a real difference and turns it into a J sound, but I prefer it in its meatier format. The newer shape didn’t grab me at first but it is reminiscent of the short lived Bunny Brunel which Gibson made. ( Kyle Eastwood has one) . ESP now seem to make his Signature model with an even longer top horn, so on balance I now quite like the new EB and reckon it will play well. Definitely like the black, it are there any out there? ESP Ltd version below.

More treble in the eq. Possibly a little bit of chorus too, I believe that’s Pino’s solution on ‘where ever I lay my hat’.

What a misnomer, should have been called the unlucky 7, but who 7 it only had 6 strings? May be the 7 related to the gap between the strings and the fretboard?
