Mega quick payment via bank transfer. Fast and friendly Thanks Chris...String in the post tomorrow

This hiss seems to be affecting the combos.....hmmm. I wonder what it is. My cab, luckily, has quite a silent horn and doesn't give you that slight 'hiss' even when you crank it up. I was quite happy about that!

I've even found one 212 (8 ohm) with the LM3 is enough volume....adding the other gives you a total 4x12 beast of a stack....sounds huge, loads of clarity, plus the nice warmth 12s give you. I'm going to get a Shuttle 9.0 soon to really cranked the single 212s when Im taking one cab to a gig....so thats putting more into it at 8ohms and making them much more of a one cab solution when space is tight. The casters really sold it for me....they might weigh a fair bit, but with casters they weigh nothing The reason I went for the big cabs was I had a good deal trading in my Ampeg 8x10...and I wanted the same kind of big rig, but in two smaller packages. I highly recommend Aguilar cabs.

Hi guys I have 2 sets of RS Swing Bass 66 (4 String) Bass strings unused and unopened. ALL GONE! They are a fairly light gauge as the band I am leaving played ultra fast double timing stuff, so thick strings was out. Im using slightly thicker strings now. To be fair, the thickness never stopped them being extremely full on tone wise, it just meant you could play quicker and bend more. RS66LC - Medium - Long - 40 60 75 95 (Specs) I believe they are £15 ish new. £9.00 delivered to your door. Brand new, unopened and unused. Payment via bank transfer please...loads easier and no fees. Cheers EDIT: SOLD!
Thanks Rich (and everyone else) for the comments The mrs really is awesome!! I'm so proud of her, not only for making an excellent choice of bass but for supporting my local guitar/bass shop instead of buying it online! I've hardly slept all night!! I'm so excited about this bass!! I love the thought of keeping hold of this one!! (the mrs and the bass)
Thats a truly brilliant gift....what a bass as well. You definitely have to keep that now....for life! How many awesome Oly White 08/09 P Basses on basschat now? You make a good couple as well, congrats! (I hope I get the same if I decide on the same path with the missus....)
I'm completely happy with my RH450 - it's killed all interest in any other amps (which is a good thing beleive it or not!). At the gig last weekend I had one of those moments where I get to play solo at the end of a song. I was shocked by how good it sounded and it made a really lasting impression on me. My Pino Palladino strung with TI's and played with a pick just sounded beefy as hell with a presence that totally belied the size of my rig. Definetely worth trying one out Mark - as you say the cabs are might not be as great as the head though. J
That bass sounds like my dream bass....well it is!

I tested one out with a Sadowsky / 75 Reissue Jazz and I don't think the guys in the shop had it set up properly to be fair. The cabs weren't really my kind of thing, although I really like how they have been designed/shaped. The head itself is very functional and has a lot going on. As with all TC equipment, its pricey. I like its features, I like how versatile it is, but I wasnt sold instantly. However, again it was in a tiny corner on a low volume as the shop was full. I think going for the amp with, as mentioned above, different cabs is probably the best combination. I'd like to fiddle with the tube tone a bit when I get chance to play one again. They look very impressively made, and I suggest testing one out LM2/3 much simpler and less to play with, but obviously if you are like me and have a tuner/sansamp/tonehammer or decent dirt pedal that sounds tube like, then its a case of either getting a head without the features or selling them all to just buy the TC head. Id really like an amp shootout with the Genz Shuttle 9.0/LM3/RH450....we should do this!

Ah I wish I was living there already! -
Thats incredible....some nice basses in that line up!

I asked Darren the other day and Bass Merchant are not going. Even though they are advertised, they cancelled a while back. Not enough bass related stuff for me to go. I hope its good though! I very nearly ended up going.

I actually like the clicking with certain types of music. A band called Face to Face had a finger style bass player and I loved his P Bass clicky sound!

Hey guys I’m going to get a cover for my Tecamp cabinet, but this is a more general question about import duties etc. If I order from a German store, do I pay German tax? The store are saying that I do. Will the product get charged any duties on its way into the UK? The cover is already £90 with delivery….ouch! I don’t want to be paying anymore. My problem is also that if I’m spending £90, I’ll probably be annoyed if it gets badly scuffed and scraped. If it’s horrendously expensive to import, I might go with a Roqsolid cover for £40 plus free delivery. They seem to be waterproof and padded with a soft lining which seems quite good for the price. Plus, the cabinet will be looked after anyway. Has anyone had any experience with the Roqsolid covers?

Evening! Had a good think, and I’ve given it a proper test at home, but at a fairly loud volume. I used it with the LM3, and even at under 1/3 volume, it was so loud it was unreal. I still cannot get over the weight and quite small size. It wasn’t just loud, it was thick, creamy, and precise. Obviously the LM3 helps, but with the tweet control I could go from old school fat and warm all the way to more precise and hifi. I am quite excited about trying the Shuttle 9.0 through this, when I ever get it on order. Ive had a fair few PMs about this already, which I’m not surprised about! Thank you all for the interest in it. I think I have replied to all of you. I have decided to keep it due to the amazing price I bought it for. Its worth much more than guitarguitar was selling them for, and I’m not surprised these are in GAK for £899.00. Now I’ve just got to get a cover for it…. Thanks, and apologies, but I am going to withdraw this. I’ll find the money elsewhere.
Obviously lots of people are more than happy with the cabs, I just think that Alex needs to quickly address the finish and external build side of things to keep his product in direct competition to the other cab manufacturers. People ears are very quickly seduced by the look of a cab...even more so when you have paid a lot more than the competition. Dave
This is exactly what I am like....seduced by looks! hahahah Nowadays cabs look tremendous. I love looking at my Orange cabs and Aguilar cabs as they are cabs of beauty and they sound fantastic and totally different to each other. The Berg looks incredibly well made, and the new Tecamp is just brilliant....it really makes a difference to what you perceive of a product.

Help deciding on 15" cab is worth going back to?
Musicman20 replied to Smash's topic in Amps and Cabs
Just seen your list of cabs you have wow... which is your favourite and why?
Hmm! Tough question! For moving about, the Tecamp M212! Very light. Very very loud and can produce a brilliant tone. For pure volume and clarity in a small 4x10 package, the HS410. Its gives you everythig you play...very very precise. For old school fat warm bass with a classic/vintage tone, the Orange cabs. Perfect for a Precision/Jazz. Crank the gain and its perfect for heavy music/punk. For a combination of vintage/dirty rock n roll with clarity and lots of artiulation, the Aguilar 212s. They also look very cool. Actually, so do the Orange cabs. Hmmm...I have too many....and I cant think which I'd want to sell...arghghg! Hope this helps!
