I've seen their social media. Fair play to them, that is a LOT of work. I wouldn't personally bother hahahaa.

Same. Absolutely loved that cab. I had the 4x10 to 'match' but used the 1x15 for most things. mid 90s to mid 00s. The Trace cabs sounds far superior, tone wise, in that video. It will give up volume wise because it's an old 1x15 that was no doubt rated for lower wattage amps. If a manufacturer can design a 1x15 cab with that high mid/treble detail, but to handle say 400W and be as light as possible, that would be great. I later had the Orange 4x10 and 1x15 setup with the AD200b Mk3 - sold that years ago. The 1x15 was fantastic, again.

The Orange AD200b is an absolute monster for this. Too big and heavy for me nowadays though. Wonderful sound.

I don’t think it’s Alex’s playing, I think it just needs setting up a bit differently as a sound demo. The tech is there, but it must be hard to get that across. Maybe a tech talk then it changes to a sit down demo with plec/slap/fingerstyle. Hell even get a basic backing drum track on it.

Roland/Boss have always impressed me.
-
That is probably very impressive, but wow £1000! Ideally I’d want a bigger / more powerful cab for that price. I know they work wonders with their custom drivers, but I’m not sure I’d get away with a powered 1x10 in a band. I do think powered cabs are becoming more ‘normal’ now due to amazing modellers and pre amp pedals.

I have some EB flats on my Stingray 4 H that have been on for 8+ years and sound/feel fantastic. No fret wear! Good thing with a Ray is that you can still get high mid grind with flats if you want.

I don't think it is necessarily better, but they have more control over their manufacturing if it is right next to them/close by, and I imagine manufacturing in Italy is not a cheap setup, so overall I'm pretty impressed.
-
The fact they went back to Italian manufacturing and kept their prices decent is pretty impressive!

Quilter stuff is always well engineered. Fantastic USA price as well. Wonder what the UK price is?!

...and this is why I love Genz Benz still! Thanks for sharing this, and clearing it up. I have had no issues with mine.

The minefield that is EB MM Sterlings (not stingray!)

I still have my USA Sterling 5 HS from, wow, it's coming up to maybe 11/12 years old?! The build quality is absolute perfection. It needs new strings soon again. Big shame they don't currently make them. I hope they get them back as Sterling Specials soon. -

The two pickup Stingray/Sterling has the original back H in the same position.... -
Stunning! Enjoy!

Well done to your bank!

Depends, I actually really like the colour the Aguilar DB cabs add to a sound, more so the DB12/DB212.
-
I never did get one! They looked great. Wish Kiesel would get them made and distribute in the UK.

I still rate the TC amps and cabs. They really had a grip on the market for some time. I can't believe it has been 14-15 years! Really?! I have 2 x RS210, covers, footswitch, RH750 and the bag and I enjoy them still. I actually don't think we have moved on THAT far since the Genz Benz/TC/Markbass amps of 10 or so years ago.

Well it is for Genzler...news for them. I am a user of Genz Benz amps and I have a LOT of respect for their technology in the bass amp/cab world. Why would I want to generate google hits? Makes no difference to me. Not my career/business/company. Anyway, apparently they are releasing info later today.

Description. Our circuitry and mechanical designs within the KINETIX™ 800 deliver an all-new platform in tube preamp, compact bass amplification design – exactly what players have come to expect from the GENZLER® design team. There is a thread on Talkbass and some teaser pics on Genzler's social media ads. Hmmmm!

Boss don't mess about. I imagine this will be pretty much bulletproof. If I was thinking about a new bass amp I'd try this.
-
Well considering the hefty prices for an 'official' Made in China Dingwall, this seems a great option hahaha!
-
I'd class these two as 'top of their game': 1. Bergantino Forte HP2 Bass Amplifier - Bass Direct https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/bergantino-forte-hp2-bass-amplifier/ 2. Mesa Boogie Subway TT-800 - Andertons Music Co. https://www.andertons.co.uk/mesa-boogie/mesa-boogie-subway-tt-800 If I ever move on my Genz Benz/TC amps or fancy a change, I'll be sure to choose one of those. Compared to guitar amp pricing now, we have it pretty easy! I understand the issue with Gibson and the crazy price jumps, so I understand why people might not be happy, but for once I'm pretty sure £1550 ish seems fair for the top of the line USA made product.

"Sirerays" listed on Andertons (and probably other places)

My word they don't look that great, IMO.
