1. Just bought some strings from Bob he sent them uber fast and they were at a good price deal with confidence
2. Could I have the 50-105 set please if you can pm me details for payment that would be cool
3. The price of these jacks are getting silly over the last 12 months I have seen a couple on ebay for 500 odd pounds. I think they are great basses but not worth anything much more than £250 for one in great condition IMO
4. I bought a pedal from Richard and it was such a hassle free deal the pedal came uber fast and was really well packed and in a nice little carry bag which I was not expecting Richard is a great guy to deal with
5.
Paul, Thanks for your help and guidance it was much appreciated. As yet seller still hasn't responded to PayPal so I'm hoping all will go in my favour. Thanks again Paul :-)
You are more than welcome anytime
6. I always wanted one as a kid but never got one
7.
I could build you one, but it would cost something in the region of £2k Great idea though. A cheaper option would be to pick up a chest of drawers or printers chest from an auction and convert
2K wow I was thinking about 700 notes top shows how much I know lol
8. Yep I would be interested if the price was not to silly great idea
9. Karl there is some one after one of these in the wanted section of the forum mate
10. Just thought I would jump is as I have given the bass a once over, I am sure it is a Mike Dirnt (2004) but the neck is a bit of an abortion it has badly warped and the truss rod rod is maxed out the action at the 12th fret went off my action gauge and that goes up to 7mm you could fire arrows from it lol the neck had also been very badly finished there were huge lacquer runs all over it the heel had very badly sanded to fit in the neck pocket and there were a few other bits regarding condition of the bass it really was in a VERY bad condition no way is it a shop demo bass in the state it was in. Anyhow none of that matters as the necked is totally buggered so I am sure paypal will come good for you in getting a refund I am just sorry your NBD was a let down.
11.
But he's not playing in a band situation and is clearly doing it to show off his skills. Not my thing but fair play to him.
I agree with this 100% he is a pretty good drummer though
12.
I am tempted to buy this and scrape the letter B off of the headstock!
OOOer Mrs lol
13. Heat a scalpel over a flame then gently ease it down the "slits" for the nut this will melt the glue and the nut will pull out I would advise covering up the fretboard if you have not done this before
14.
Thanks for the support Thunderbird, if there's anything we can do to improve your experience please let us know. We've got some interesting things in the pipeline for bass players coming up in 2016.
No thank you for going above and beyond the call of customer service
15. I have not renewed my sellers fee this year it is not because I have a problem with the fee as it is fair nor do I have a problem with BC or any of the site rules my only reason for not selling basses on here is I get fed up with dealing with idiots via PM wanting something for nothing or just dreaming and pissing about now I only deal with members I trust but I would rather sell on ebay and take the hit on the fees maybe I have been lucky? but have never had a problem or had to deal with tyre kickers on ebay
16. I think Diadarrio are a great company I was lucky enough to be given a set of there strings to try out (by Don what a great bloke) and I really liked the strings which was good as I had not really been a Daddario customer before but when I changed my bass they just did not sound right nothing wrong with the strings they just did not work well with that bass IMO so I used my old brand again and I felt a bit bad for not buying the Daddarios anymore any way fast forward a bit and I am happy to say I am a loyal Daddario customer again I bought a set of there EXL160 strings and really liked them so ordered a few more sets from Thomann so just really a bit of a thanks thread and just goes to show that if a company takes that extra step people will be loyal to them and be happy
17. I bought a bass from Drew and it was a total pleasure awesome communication via PM, super fast shipping and fantastic packing I am very pleased with the bass and would not hesitate dealing with Drew again he is a great BCer one of the sweetest and easiest deals I have ever done on the site thanks Drew 10/10
18.
Just had a quick look at Basses For Sale, and as I type this there are FIVE Foderas on the front page, all from low-posting EU-based members, prices ranging between £4750 and £9900. The marketplace as it stands is really of less and less use to the majority of contributing community members, and I feel somewhat alienated by this. I have a few basses I'd like to sell myself but can't help feeling my selection of £150 cheapos don't really belong alongside all this high-end exotica. And I do feel ever-so-slightly uncomfortable that I'd be expected to pay the same fee as a dealer with a ten grand bass for sale. J.
This is a most excellent point must admit I have not renewed my selling fee as I prefer to sell elsewhere now as there are to many idiots on here now IMO but I do sell the odd small item on here and I do buy a few bits but only from forum members that I trust now or have good FB
19. Bump for something interesting that is not a boring P or J bass
20. Not read the whole thread but the best tribute band I ever saw many moons ago was dressed to kill a Kiss tribute and "Gene Simmons is a BC member how cool is that
21. Yep that diagram is good
22. I will have this please can you pm details as I am mobile ATM thanks
23. They are great basses but the value drops like crazy for example I sold a mint condition first run for £230 not long ago people just don't seem to want these basses S/H which is sad as they are good glwts mate
