1. I used to have a four string version of this, the body will in all likelihood be Amazaque
2. Short clip from when we played in 2009 http://youtu.be/8AwNANmDxF4
3.
We have a tidy drummer that can handle lead vox but he wants to sing less hence the new front person, she can belt them out no messing, Low down rock, show tunes, through to Christina Aguilera stuff etc no probs! Guitarist is good but not a shredder and just myself, that's where the rot begins
Sounds like a fun set
4. I keep a spreadsheet with all my gigs on it and musical income and outgoings; last year I did 694.8 miles, so no, nothing like yours
5. Congratulations mate, I played the campsite stage back in 2009, but not the festival proper. That was an amazing experience, I'll bet yours will be too
6. What setting are you using it on? The multiband and valve sim settings will inherently alter the tone, the flat setting shouldn't too much though
7. Just came across this on the EGC Facebook page Love the shape and material, would go for a more subdued colour though
8. I like that a lot, if memory serves it's an aluminium neck'd Hartke? Edit: third time's the charm, and clearly a Hartke from the filename
9. .
10. I quite like Steve DiGiorgio's custom Thor bass.. [Img]http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y175/Ghost_Upon_The_Stage/Mobile%20Uploads/proxy_zpshujk5mkg.jpeg" class="ipsImage" />
11. I've been using the free version for a few weeks now, really impressed with it, my mum's going to pay for the subscripton for my birthday next month so looking forward to being able to listen to specific songs and albums in the correct order
12.
victor5string, on 18 February 2015 - 10:18 AM, said: Metal bass players still(not all but a fair few) keep scooping the mids out, so there is not a great deal to fill that gap and there tone just disappears with the drums and guitars.
This is definitely a contributing factor, I wasn't guilty of that when I was in a metal band, but it does do my head in that so many metal bassits scoop their mids so much.
13. Isn't Danni California by the Chili's almost a straight lift from something else, down to the drums and lyrical themes?

Is it like this one? [Img]http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y175/Ghost_Upon_The_Stage/20131103_111418_zps5e93dc80.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> I've had it a about ten years, not a bad guitar, does me alright. It could do with some better pickups as the stock ones are a bit muddy -though tuning it to drop B probably doesn't help that
15. The albums that most remind me of being a teenager are Dookie by Green Day and Dude Ranch by Blink 182, perfect albums for when you're 16
16.
I think just the fact they say Germany on them over any of the Asian countries will be a big selling point - same as USA/Mexican Fenders. Am I imagining things or is/was there talk of being able to put "Made in Germany" on a product that's made somewhere else so long as a certain % comes from inside the EU? ie Send a load of German wood & electronics to Asia to be put together & you can still call it German? I may have completely dreamed that up but I'm sure I saw it somewhere.
From an export controls perspective, the country of origin is defined as the country where the last major change was made to the item, so I don't think that would fly for export compliance. I'm not sure if you can get away as marketing something as made in country a, but declare the country of origin as country b I'll ask our compliance officer at work to clarify it tomorrow
17. Same, in a fairly standard covers band so unfortunately the type of music I mostly listen to - doom and black metal isn't really suitable for the setlist
18. I wouldn't worry an awful lot about the power, I've not had mine long, and like you was a little concerned about power as I was going to be using it into an 8ohm 1x15 (first generation Barefaced Compact), so on paper that's only 88.5 watts into just one driver, albiet quite a sensitive one. However, not an issue, I did three gigs over Christmas with that set-up and I don't think I had the master above 11 o'clock in a four piece rock/pop covers/function band. I've now swapped to a EBS Neo 2x12 and am looking forward to using it in anger for the first time
19. That's just the head, I apologise, looks like I didn't read your original post very well...... There's always the 600 watt version which will be cheaper and leave you some cash for a cab. At your budget, a Markbass combo sounds ideal
20. Bought some strings from Stu, turned up very quickly, remarkably well packed
21. Used Genz streamliner - go for about £350 - £400 for the 900 watt version Edit - forgot you didn't want too much colouration - the Streamliner may have to much for you.
22. I saw a band tonight where the bassist was using one of these, sounded superb, especially the low B
23. Damn quote function @Charic, you mean Alex Webster? Cannibal Corpse bassist?
24. Look at Jamareo Artis, clearly records Bruno Mars albums with a five string, but plays a sunburst Fender 4 live
25. Sticker covered Squier Affinity Precision, I'll have had it thirteen years in about two months. [Img]http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y175/Ghost_Upon_The_Stage/Mobile%20Uploads/20140323_205700_zps665dc003.jpg" class="ipsImage" />
