  1. Another bump before it goes on ebay at the lower price

    SOLD

Had a go on one of these (or maybe a slightly cheaper model) last night at the local jam night - cracking sound - really big and quite simple to get to grips with, feels odd to start with but you get used to it quickly
  3. Back home from work bump
  4. Bump for the price drop
  5. Bump I am open to offers if anyone's interested :-)
  6. Sadowsky Metro Hybrid-P? - precision body, jazz neck, p-j pickups with the Sadowsky pre-amp. Not cheap though about 1500 quid plus if memory serves
  7. Bit of a bump before i start thinking about ebay
  8. That is a bargain, if i had the cash (and indeed the space) i would have that in a flash
  9. I'd love one (or at least I think I would - never played one) as I'm a huge fan of Justin Chancellor and his tone - even with the insane signal chain he has. Looks wise, I think the bodies are great, not a fan of the headstock but I would put up with that to get the tone. That said though, with my current set-up I get a pretty good approximation - G&L L2000 Tribute into a EBS Fafner via a Tech 21 Sansamp and the G&L cost nearly a 10th of a Wal
  10. I tried one before i bought my mayones be4 - nice bass with a good classic tone, but i preferred the neck on the be4. Probably not what your looking for but i'm actually selling the be4......... ;-)
  11. Cheers guys, hopefully get it sold soon as I can't wait to go bass shopping - I've been reading through the tonewood thread and am looking forward to A/B testing two precisons with Maple and Rosewood fretboards

    Hello

It is a worry But I've got a baby on the way and I'm getting married next year so I think I'll have to be disciplined..........
  13. Hi all, I'm selling my Mayones Be4 bass, specs are below, it's a cracking hand-built instrument and I'm a little loath to part with it as I recorded my band's first album with it but it's not really the tone I'm going for these days so I'm selling it to fund a P-bass for the covers band I've just joined. Amazaque body Arch-top Mahogony neck with maple strips Rosewood fretboard 24 frets contoured neck-joint EMG active single coil pickups (custom feature) Aguilar OBP-3 pre-amp (custom feature) Mayones branded hardcase, Mayones strap-locks, manual and allen keys The custom pickups and pre-amp were fitted at the factory when it was built (usually Bartolinis) and really add to the instrument; tone wise it's very clear and punchy, but with all the bottom end you'd need. The pickups are harmonically rich and detailed and the pre-amp is superb - best description I can think of is tasteful, adds or cuts in each band very nicely. I play in a metal band and it has a great sound for that - no more getting lost in the mix! - But would definetly suit a rock, funk, jazz, fusion or pop player just as well. It's currently tuned B-E-A-D but obviously nothing the local guitar shop couldn't change I've had to withdraw this for now as I need it for a recording project, but it may be back depending on circumstances.
