1. I bought a nice jazz album featuring Scott LaFaro off Mike. Really easy deal and it arrived in no time. Brill. Nice one Mike, many thanks! 👍
2.
I'm devastated. One of the few that could take something from inside his head, share it and put millions in a great state of mind. Huge loss. Rest In Power Prince Blue
Well said Blue. The truth.
3.
I prefer Hi Beams to to the Fat Beams I think.
In what way do you prefer the Hi Beams? I've never tried them but I do love the Fatbeams. Just curious what the difference is.

Colin bought some parts of me in a very easy deal. Nice friendly chat on the PMs, and he was very patient waiting a few days until I could finalise the courier too. Brill. Deal with confidence people. Thank you Colin!
5. Totally agree. I put a set of Fatbeams on a 5 string Squier P bass and they blew me away. Even acoustically, they made me smile. The most responsive string I've used, and easy to play. Amazing B string too.
6. Scott Thunes on various Zappa albums (Make A Jazz Noise Here, The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life..) Just killer P bass tone, exquisite note choices and phrases but always supportive of those around him. A brilliant musician who just happened to play bass. He could really pump a driving groove too: http://youtu.be/ly79mkffp7M
7. Sold some Ultralites to Adolf in Romania in what was a very friendly, easy deal. Lovely chap to chat to on the PMs, wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again, either buying or selling. Thanks Adolf!
8. Here’s my Squier VM P5 neck. Selling because I've modded my way into a new bass pretty much (as you do) This neck is straight and true with the truss rod working as it should. I had Hipshot Ultralites on it and filled the original tuner screw holes, although it would be easy to fit original sized tuners again as they would cover the Hipshot holes . I also put a different string tree on which covered all 5 strings a la Lakland, but I found the bass sounded better with the Squier tree So I put the original back and filled the small holes. I did have the bass professionally set up when new which included having the frets levelled a bit and the nut slots dropped for ease of playing. The finish is very good and unmarked apart from what I mentioned. A lovely feeling and playing neck with no dead spots at all that is just sat here doing nothing. **EDIT** I'll also throw in the Squier engraved VM neck plate and the DR Fatbeams that were on it also (loads of life left in those too ☺). £65 posted to you. Thanks.
9. Now sold! Brand spanky new set of 5 Hipshot USA Ultralites - HB6-C 3/8" (10mm) for smaller pegholes. They are configured as 5 in a line right handed at present, but they can be easily switched to suit any headstock side/configuration. £70 posted in the UK. Overseas, we'll work it out. Cheers.
10. TI Jazz flats, 5 string set. Brand new and unopened. I bought these for a project that I'm building but unfortunately I've run out of funds so these will have to go. They cost me £60 posted from Thomann, yours for £45 posted to UK mainland. Bargain! Cheeoz.
11. Yes, that's what bass I have actually! It sizes up perfectly, screwholes too. I was going to spray my Candy Apple Red VM P5 cream and put this tort guard on but never got around to it.
