  1. Selling my lovely Hartke 5210 Hydrive combo and it is in lovely condition. I used it for the grand total of one rehearsal and a gig two years ago and it has lived safely in my wardrobe ever since. I bought it for a project that died a (very) quick death and seeing as I'm not going to be in a band again anytime soon, I have to unfortunately let it go. The amp itself is a LH500 👌 Killer tone and kicks out a massively versatile trouser flapping punch! Pick up in person, Cardiff area. Can meet up somewhere within a reasonable distance if that suits. Cheers.
  2. Since Sabotage has been taken 😎, I'll have two. This ^ and this..
  3. I love the LPB one 😎https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_enhanced_mp_5eb_lake_blue.htm
  4. GAS (or it's origins) is the main reason why the human race has been so (arguably) successful, to the point where we are actually wearing our environment out. Simply put, whatever it is it's never enough!
  5. I had a RPB65F fretless in Fiesta Red. It was a brilliant bass. Gigged regularly with it, and got so many compliments on it's sound and looks. It came perfectly set up and the only 'mod' I did was to put on a set of Labella DT Flexible Flats. Piece of pie to play (for a fretless) and sounded massive. Need another one now actually!
  6. Spotify Premium all the way.
  7. Bob Glaub on P Bass
  8. Marlowe DK
  9. Yes indeed. I'm just into great basses that don't look too fussy.
  10. Yep. I'll take a VM in exactly that colour combo. 😍
  11. I asked Sandberg on Facebook if I could order a VM SL. They said yes I can! Seems they'll do any California II as a superlight.
  12. You've gotta go there to get back...
  13. Forgot about Sandberg! Thanks, I'll check it out tonight!
  14. +1
  15. The special 5 string look like the neck is a titch wider than before. There seems to be a bit more room for the G string instead of it sitting right on the edge of the fret. Not read anything about this but the photos do seem to suggest it.
  16. God I would love one of these, any of them! The price is way beyond me though unfortunately. It has got my brain ticking about just picking up a good used 'Ray and switching all the hardware for aluminium Hipshot gear etc. Could probably save myself a grand that way!
  17. Well done Eddie! I had a feeling Scott's bass wouldn't get too far. Hats off to you sir! 👏👏👏
  18. Sorry, I didn't mean to cast any doubt on the bass. I was trying to say the bass is fine. It's something that can happen with any bolt on. It's really nothing and certainly not something you would actually hear ^. Just an aesthetic thing.
  19. Hi there. The action on the pics looks very high, have you had it lower? Any fret work needed?
  20. I can see what you mean. A quick loosen of the strings and neck plate screws, with a little nudge of the neck to the left would bring it all into alignment. Easy fix and very common with bolt ons. Lovely bass, good luck with the sale.
  21. White or mint on black for me. Not tort sorry.
  22. He uses balanced tension strings as mentioned a few comments up.
  23. That looks wonderful. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see how things go, but as somebody wise on here once said, regarding gas, "sometimes the best thing to do is nothing".
  24. Oof. I have been getting a bit excited about ordering a Jake 5 to my own specs, drooling over the website. In order to fund it I will have to sell my Fender Custom Shop P, which is the best 4 string I've ever played.. After reading the last few pages of this thread I've really gone off the idea! I can't afford a Shuker unfortunately but does anyone know of another builder that makes quality custom P5 style basses on these shores for, say, a grand and a half? Wishful thinking?
  25. It took me years to finally part with my 70's 4001. I loved and hated it in equal measure. When I did eventually sell it, all I experienced was a great sense of relief. Like that crazy nutty erotic girlfriend that you know is no good for you but still you hang on for the ride.
