The two people I know who have bought the Beatles Mono box set both rave about the superiority of Mono. This may be true or possibly a defence/justification of the £150 odd it cost I've not heard the mono versions myself bit really like the stereo separation in the 'standard' CDs that I have. The Mono versions are on Spotify you say? That's the next week or two sorted then

The main consideration is finding a head which does both DB and electric well - EA as you know are great for this anyway, as are Acoustic Image

Not seen that post, but they have form with hinting/announcing breakups just for a laugh. I hope not - I've seen them as a teen in the early 90s and also in 2015. Superb each time. Punk with substance and creativity.

It had that beautiful tone, but although the 440w was always loud enough, but only just (same with the EBS 350) - it just felt wrong having to turn the knob almost fully cranked despite the fact t it was loud enough and sounded great. Really pleased that you're delighted with the head - that's a hell of a high end rig! As you know, I'm a bit of Glock fanboi so am unsurprised that that rig sounds awsome. Bypassing the EQ seems to be an extremely common habit among Glock players - a sign of fantastic core tone. Enjoy!

Maybe 10% if I was a big fan. Cabs are a different matter. I saw a 'Ex Mani Stone Roses' cab in a shop in Leeds once. Who would buy a cab that had taken that much punishment?
