  1. Yes, some backing vocals and lead vox on Spellbound by Siouxsie and the Banshees. 🤯 indeed!
  2. That was by default as she's using my bass. She now finds 4 strings oddly constricting
  3. Very pleased! It's a nice mixture, including: Norwegian Wood Wish You were here Modern Love There She Goes Bet you look good on the Dance Floor
  4. My daughter was two years old when I joined Basschat, played her first gig last night at sixteen. She hasn't been playing long, but has picked it up remarkably quickly. Must be in the blood. Proud Dad moment.
  5. That's great BRX. I also prefer the Pop mix; the vocal seems to sit better in the mix for me, and I love the synths.
  6. Zombie thread alert! I'm now looking for someone to help with a very noisy/intermittent squeal jack issue on an active bass. Preferably in the Newark area, or Nottinghamish. Started suddenly during a recording session! Now it emits an awful feedbacky squeal unless you hold hold the lead firmly to the side. thanks
  7. Still for sale folks, and sorry I'm not in need of any bass gear, so no trades please.
  8. Glockenklang Blue Rock amp. 1000w @ 4 ohms. The absolute pinnacle of class D amps IMO, and the amp that stopped all GAS for me. I'm no longer gigging so I'm selling off my amp and cab. Rich, clear, loud and light. Shape the tone manually with the myriad of controls, or with the excellent presets. It does clean very, very well, and in true Glockenklang style, the bass control is usable all the way up without going wooly like most other amps. You can also dial in the drive circuit, which is very valve sounding. From a bit of dirt just when you dig in, to full on creamy distortion. Pickup preferred or I can post for an additional £12. Comes in a Mackie padded bag* with Rock Wire cable and 2.5m power lead. *There are two spots of blue tac residue inside the bag where the amp feet sit. I can't get rid I'm afraid.
  9. Barefaced Super Twin 1200w @ 4ohms In very good condition. Made in England, very solid and sounds superb. And loud! Comes with RoqSolid Cover with velcro arse flap option. Pickup preferred from Southwell, Notts. Easy access from the A1 /Newark/Nottingham etc.
  10. This is still for sale. Works perfectly still
  11. Bought a DI from me. Instant payment, good communication, and very patient in the face of my severe muppetry. Top chap.
  12. Where do you insert the jack?
  13. I went to a Q&A talk thing by John Robb at Rough Trade. He has just released a book "Art of Darkness: The history of goth" It was great; lots of back-in-the-day goths dressing up, discussion of the music/people and reminiscing about the clubs etc. A little nugget I loved was "if you HAD to break it down to a formula, then Jim Morriston + Bowie × punk = goth" @BigRedX I was half expecting to see you there
  14. I sold a pedal to Pete. Communications were great and all was fine. Thanks!
  15. It worked perfectly, but that was a few years ago. I'll plug it in and give it a whirl
  16. Sorry, no serial number that I can see in the battery compartment. Here's pics of everything with a number on it!
  17. I'll check
  18. Thanks, it's been a while! So with the latest firmware update it will be even better!
  19. Made in the UK by Rainger FX, this is Dr Freakenstein's Dwarf beach, a heavy gated fuzz. Although not a bass-dedicated fuzz, it has high/low switch for frequencies. Back in my pedal crazy days, I had this blended with a Density Hulk for maximum fun. -Hi/low frequency switch -Rear trim pot to go from gated fuzz to insane oscillating sci-fi bleepiness. -Pitch set via the knob, or controlled by Igor, the foot-operated pressure pad!
  20. The OG of OCs Classic octaver with a cult following. Japanese model
  21. New condition. Top quality Canadian-made passive DI with pad and ground/lift buttons. Bought as a backup, but never needed it.
  22. The mighty Panda Audio Future Impact synth. There are 99 presets loaded at any time: Geek level 1: Go onto the open source database and select which ones you want on your unit. Geek level 2: Tweak each effect with the editor on the unit Ultimate geek: Create your own perfect sounds on the software, then upload to the database for others to use. Comes complete with midi cable to connect with your computer. Firmware update was done a few years back, so it now has tuner function.
  23. It's a lovely bass. The pickup has a nice thumbcrater, and I love the way the fretboard continues into a thumbrest. Makes it a very playable and beautiful bass!
