2. Maybe 10% if I was a big fan. Cabs are a different matter. I saw a 'Ex Mani Stone Roses' cab in a shop in Leeds once. Who would buy a cab that had taken that much punishment?
3. Bought some GeorgeL stuff from David. All good, thanks

5. New album Aim by M.I.A. Pretty original stuff, creatively produced, doesn't take itself too seriously yet has real substance. Great stuff
6.
Daft question, what country's are involved ?
England is the sixth one
7.
I don't know whether the DHA pedals would tend to show up those differences or not, though somebody on here must have tried.
My DHA VT1 EQ came with an ElectroHarmonix valve but I swapped it out for a Mullard ECC83. Not much difference in gain, but it had a smoother quality to the distortion. Different valve types, but I vastly preferred the TungSol 6SN7s to the Sovtek 6SL7s in the preamp of my valve amp.
8. I think most of them look great, but so few have an extended top horn, which is a deal breaker for me - I can't bear that stretch to the lower frets
9. Just wondering what it might be like putting the OC2 after the fuzz - worth an experiment!

11. Bit of a midnight impulse buy while researching gated fuzz pedals, it's not really voiced for bass, but not bad with an octave through it, and sounds very synthy when filtered through the Xero, especially with the Hot Hand or EP3, getting globs of wub wub. My main aim is to run this and the Xero in parallel for huge clean low end and fuzz/oscillations on top. There is a trim on the underside with which you can set how extreme things get, from normal gated fuzz on one end to pulsing oscillations on the other. Excuse the bare feet - they are very clean! http://youtube.com/watch?v=ouHtB91zBbA
12. It's amazing how three tiny slots in a scratchplate can make it look about 60% cooler than if they weren't there. Good design skills Sheldon/person responsible
13. I went into a (now defunct) used gear shop back in the late 90s. I got a Sound City head and 4x12 HH sealed cab all for £140. It was an incredible rig, but also incredibly awkward to move!
14. Big reorganisation of the pedalboard. All The old ones are sold and the new ones are in. Just working out where they will sit [Img] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/2016-09-08%2022.51.41_zpsnnpbo5yt.jpg" class="ipsImage" />
15. Mastotron is great. As is the IE Oxide, but more costly
16.
Yes but results may be unpredictable without a buffer between the 2 outputs as you're effectively connecting them together if you see what I mean. Suck it and see though. May be fine! If it works this way then the series parallel thing IS easy, btw!
Good to know. Fingers crossed!
17.
While an ABY will probably work to a degree (assuming you're talking about using it backwards i.e. the output effect 1 to A, output of effect 2 to B, input of the switcher as output) you should ideally have some sort of buffer/mix circuit to control the mix of the 2 signals.
Each pedal has its own level control so should be ok thanks
18.
A little tricky, but not impossible! You'll need some sort of mix circuitry to handle the parallel option which adds complication. I think the people saying it's simple might be mixing it up with an "A or B"/"A into B" type pedal which can be done just with foot switches! The parallel option is the kicker.
Thanks. Yeah, on balance, I think my mate who said it's easy doesn't quite get it, as I've had several very qualified people sayin it's pretty complicated. Maybe I'll have to forego the luxury of series and just get an ABY pedal
19. Hi Never done anything like this before, but thinking of exploring the possibilities. Basically I have two pedals which I want to be able to run either in parallel, or one into the other. I want to make a box with two inputs on one side, a switch determining "A+B" or "A into B", then a single output. Some reliable sources say this is very difficult, others say it's a simple switch. Anyone want to say one way or the other?
20. Matthew bought a pedal from me. Fast payer and good communications. Recommended
21. Going to interviewed on BBC Radio Nottingham on Sunday ahead of the Contemporary gig. Details to follow Edit. Erm forgot to post details. Done and dusted. You didn't miss much
22. Andy bought a pedal from me. There were some mysterious damage issues in transit but all sorted now. Great chap and good communications. Recommended
23. We used to use a place where you had to be out at 10 so he could lock up. We changed to a place where we lock up after ourselves but can stay as long as we like. Definitely better.
24. You say you have a PA head- like a power amp? When I used the Crown XTI power amp, you could customise the crossover frequency between channels, so use some sort of bright box on one channel and the compacts on the other.
