1. I played outside with my markbass rig the other week and the sound guy kept asking me to turn down the lows because they were so huge... I had them set at 10 o clock!!
2. What you think of the sound is all that matters. But for what its worth its a great sounding bass! I preferred it to the warwick very slightly.
3. I like D'Addario prosteels a lot. My favourites so far though are stainless steel Elixirs. They sound very similar but last ages!
4.
Stingrays are sh*t...
they are indeed. ...When I play them at least!
5. As above they're basically posh Behringer amps. I've not heard their bass stuff, but I did hear one of their guitar amps through a Peavey cabinet and it sounded absolutely wonderful!
6.
Fat doobiage cant hurt....
Haha my uncle told me through exact same thing and he doesn't even smoke it
7. That was bloody awesome! Never seen a right hand technique like that before, it makes a great sound
8. I've never paid more than £30 for a full setup including fret dressing. I normally do it myself but wouldn't trust myself if the frets need doing because i have a habit of needing a bit of trial and error!
9. I can't recommend Markbass enough! Maybe a sansamp or behringer bdi21 to add extra warmth, natural compression and maybe some light overdrive. That would be more than enough for you to never need to look elsewhere!
10. The Darkglass Vintage is white i think.
11. This looks really cool! I don't know if i can make it yet but ll find out asap
12. I use regular D'Addarios on my 35" sixer, strung through the body and they're still plenty long enough lighter gauges are easily come by as well... I found the standard gauge too tight as well!
13. Haven't checked this thread out for a while.. So happy to see how well the relay has been going!!
14. That's pretty damn cool! It's not often you see a unique design that just looks so right.
15. If it fits on stage without obstructing everyone else you're fine You won't need to turn up that much either, because with the speakers right by your ears you'll be able to hear yourself much better. But as has already been said, you may get sick of carting it about eventually!
16.
can someone explain to me how does this work as an audio interface for a laptop, is it case of just plugging it in and then I can use it as my audio card in ableton?.

I'm not sure whether you need to download the ASIO driver first though. I did, but I didn't try using the B3 without first installing it.
Mine didn't work until I installed the ASIO driver from the Zoom website. Once you've done that, just select it as the audio device in whatever recording software you use and you're away!
17. Dude, it sounds to me like you're waiting for someone to tell you to quit. Quit. I would have done so ages ago, I have quit bands purely on the strength (well, weakness) of their live presentation. It made me feel embarrassed to be on the stage, and I worried that my reputation as a good player would be tarnished, That's without the fact that the guys are clearly taking you for a ride... If the band, music, and gigs were good and fun then I would put up with it a little. Some of the more reasonable members will tell you to call a meeting and air out all of your problems, which is probably the best thing to do. But the success of that depends on how much they respect you among other things. Again, I would just quit. Good luck whatever you do!
18. My ex left me for a guitar player haha! She's his problem now. From what I hear he has only bought one guitar since she changed hands... I on the other hand purchased two basses, two pedals, and a bunch of accessories
19.
Mine gets kept in its gig bag unless I'm using it, I am WAY too worried about anything going tits up on it.
Ditto. I had to learn the hard way though haha!
20.
On the subject of pedal boards, anyone who attempted to use mine and change the settings would be submitted to a slow and painful death!!
I left mine unattended at home once and my 2 year old changed ALL the settings! That was a long evening!
21.
Surely you meant 'ironic'?
*moronic
22. Woah this is a steal! The cheaper Jack version cost me £399 last year, and I think they've gone up since then! Another bump for what is, in my opinion, the best wireless kit on the market!
23. I don't see the problem. It's obviously a Fender. You can tell by the iconic headstock shape.
24.
To be honest I quite enjoy seeing some kid who was expecting to use his beat up old 100watt combo get all excited about playing through my Ampeg rig
Haha that's cool I might do the same some day.
25.
I believe it's being used at "glastonbudget" this weekend
Awesome! I hope so!
