1.
thomann have them in stock now... https://www.thomann....0_bass_head.htm
Andertons still quite a bit cheaper than everyone else then, so far.
2. I'm sitting here looking at my GAS fund and wondering whether to pre-order. I want one, but I also want to hear the fan to make sure it's not a stupid whirly thing like in the Mesa 4:88
3. I'm almost certain I would use the internal VMT sounds for most things and then hit it with a B3K for extra. I change tones mid song quite a lot, but this isn't a 2 or 3 channel amp. This is a 1 channel amp with a selectable drive voice. Genuine multi-channel amps are more complex and would cost more. And usually they need EQ per channel. I'm very much looking forward to this amp.
4. The Mitchell Donut is far cheaper and works on guitar amps. £5 of foam and scissors.
5. And I've just spotted the EBMM Caprice too http://www.music-man.com/instruments/basses/caprice-bass TOO. MUCH. CHOICE!
6. There are many preamps with passive options. Some have a passive tone control and some don't. The East ones do, and I think the Sadowsky ones do. There must be others. The Sandberg basses have that too but I'm not sure what preamp is in them.
7. I can't shake the gas I have for a P bass. My problem is the massive range even just in the Fender stable, never mind the other companies that make a good P bass. So ignoring price and make for the moment, if you wanted a good proper sounding (passive, regular output pickups) Precision type bass what would you look at? And while I'm at it, why doesnt Fender make more PJ models?
8. Very happy with my Mono Vertigo. Had it for about 5 years now and it's been great.
9. I don't think I've ever gigged a Fender. I've owned 3 I think. A Miller jazz, a jap P and my current Urge2. When I gigged with 4 strings it was an Aria, then a Status. Then when I moved to 5 strings it has been Marleaux, Dingwall, EBMM. I do have bad gas for a Precision at the moment though.

11. Grant bought my B7K. Super fast payment and good comms. The madman used it on a gig on the first day he got it. I'm never brave enough to use new kit at a gig without a rehearsal! Thank you!
12. Finally got round to ordering a set. Looking forward to trying them when they get here.
13. I like the Sonic Port. Very happy with it.
14. The Empress is a great unit. I sold mine to get the Supersymmetry purely as the jacks are on top and it takes up less space but I'd be very happy to have another. Compressor addiction is real though. You don't need a better one. You need more of them!
15. Do the 5 string precisions sound like a precision?
16. The QP has more bass than a stock P bass pickup, but it is also weaker in the mids. It is not as clanky. The Dimarzio Will Power is thick and clanky but I have no idea if they do a 5 string. I think they do some custom ones. Nordstrand will make anything you like and the increased charge for a custom is pretty small. Might be worth emailing them.
17. http://www.ericgarland.co/2016/09/27/gibson-rating-moodys/ Interesting reading, but not really in a good way.
18. "Will you people do what I say, when I say?" Solves all problems.

20. Eich T500 (same as Tecamp Puma 500) Awesome amps. Well made. Versatile.
