  1. The ash bodied one makes my nethers twitch.
  2. Wait! Even 4rse is caught by the swearing filter now? What is this? Why is the forum turning into a middle aged Mary Whitehouse safe place when most of us are hairy 4rsed pub rockers?
  3. I would be very surprised if a Fodera couldn't cut 50% off their prices and keep the same profit margin simply by moving away from New York. New York rents are some of the highest in the world. If they moved to the derrière end of Kansas where it's all farmland their overheads would plummet.
  4. I bet it's aimed at guitarists.
  5. Of course many people aren't getting paid enough. Why on earth do you think multi-national companies do their manufacturing in countries without adequate employment regulations? Here's the rub though. Someone might only be earning 50 pence per hour to make a bass in a far off country. But that 50 pence per hour might actually be higher than the local average and without it they might starve. There are no easy answers though. If you struggle to eat then underpayment is better than no payment. On the flip side 1 company "over-paying" for the area (in other words paying an acceptable sum) might destabilise the local economy. You'll be wondering how Tesco can sell a whole chicken for a quid next.
  6. I'm lucky with my neighbours. Technically we are detached, but due to various extensions built over the years there's about 1 inch between. A few years ago Neighbour 1 was having trouble with his teenage daughter. He was embarrassed about the music noise. She had her window open and was blasting Cypress Hill out. I said I reckon I could stop it with 1 conversation with her. I saw her later. Told her I approved of her music. She was surprised I had heard of Cypress Hill (!) I told her they were one of my favourites. And then I started to rap Insane in the Membrane at full volume in the street. With dance moves. 10 seconds later she was running away from the greying middle aged man rapping outside her house. Job done.
  7. I wouldn't go that far. But I would say that playing amplified to the point where you couldn't simultaneously listen to a TV show might be.
  8. What a colour!!! Dear Lords of the Lottery....
  9. Turn it down for a week. It's only a week.
  10. Ye gods. that is perfect. I suspect I'm about £10,000 short of being able to ever have one though!
  11. I'm using a DXR10 and it's great.
  12. The problem with "they should have done" comments is that Radiohead want 100% and apparently won't accept less. And she won't offer more than 40%. So that's a massive gap. If Radiohead refuse to accept less than 100% then their lawyer's opinions are completely irrelevant. They do as they are told by their client and nothing more. They may well have advised Radiohead to accept the 40%, or make a counter offer somewhere in between. But if their boss / client being Radiohead decide to ignore that advice... Why would you think the lawyers would do this without specific instructions from their client? And that's before we get to the issue that the decisions being made might actually be being made by the record label. Most record contracts allow the label to decide on all legal issues on behalf of the band even if the band disagree. Either way - that's still the client decision. Radioheads LAWYERS do not accept or reject any offer. They only communicate the decision made by the client.
  13. It might help if you say where the bass is located. The EU is a big place!
  14. I've got one of these. Amazing instruments! btw - the photos show Hipshot Ultra Lights though and not Schallers.
  15. So he's not a deviant then? Phew!
  16. Lovely things. i had the 9.2. Big clean and clear sound with a little grit from the preamp if you want.
  17. Sound ace. I’d like one of them. the proper way round obviously!
  18. I had an orange one once. Wish I had kept it.
  19. That’s gorgeous!
  20. 7.2 lb! That would be amazing. I wonder how light they could get a 5 string to be.
  21. Looks like the Duck Dunn is a non-starter on the weight then. The Mendel interests me though. I just looked at the specs of the neck. Sort of in between the J and P. Much like my Urge II I think. Might have to try one of those instead, even if I change the pickup to something more subtle!
  22. I often wonder about selling everything and getting a 7 pounder built. Might even get to 6.5 if it was a 32 scale and slightly undersized body.
  23. Thomann have one in stock. for about £7000!
  24. @Woodinblack Catalogue: https://issuu.com/ibanezgermany/docs/ibanez_catalog_2018 Page 77 it says it is 16.5mm. So you are in luck!
