I ran a Pod Pro XT into a Yamaha P5000S for a while and it was excellent. It might be a modelling preamp - but it sounded very good indeed.

I sold my pair of HD112 to get (at the moment) a single CN112 They do sound different. The CN has a bit more mid. When played alone I would say the HD is more pleasing, but in a band mix the CN sits in the mix a bit more prominently. A bit of EQ can get them very close to each other though. I would have been happy to keep the HD cabs, but the weight reduction was the important thing for me. The orchestra rehearsal venue I go to every week has loads of steps and long corridors so I needed that weight loss! EDIT: I own a Genx Streamliner 900 and a Shuttle 9.2. I preferred the HD with the Shuttle and the CN with the Streamliner. But I've never been that picky and either would be fine. I did have a GS112 for a while, but I never got a chance to really crank it up so I don't think I can give a fair comparison, and it was a few years ago. Doubt I'd remember a tone accurately!

Saw him at the O2. Got the tickets for the wife's birthday I was totally blown away. Amazing show in every way.

http://www.nuxefx.com/ The 'Core' pedals and the dual button ones look a bit.... Danish! Another Joyo / Mooer type company perhaps? The Time Core delay is about £29 so I might be tempted to take the risk!

The Phaser model "Phaser Beam" is amazing! In fact, it's the best phaser I've ever used. -

I nailed the Hysteria sound with a Digitech Bass Synthwah and a EHX Metal Muff I used a Boss LS2 and had each pedal in a separate loop so they both started with a clean channel. There is a really bad drunken youtube clip of a jam with it somewhere

Pedal case that's high enough inside to fit a DHA vt1?
fretmeister replied to andydye's topic in Effects
No probs! I reckon the mid sized Diago would take it (will confirm later anyway) as it copes with a Ibanez Weeping Demon with some space to spare. -

Right - I'll have a look at lunch time! -

Can you measure the pedal? I've got a couple of cases of different makes - I'll measure them out to compare if you like? -
The Will Power P pickup has a lot of treble - you won't need a J at the bridge if that is what you are worried about. My Attitude 3 has 3 controls. Vol and Tone for the Woofer and just Vol for the P. But the P Vol is a push pull that joins the 2 outputs together, and the Woofer Tone is also a push pull that is a low pass filter on the woofer to completely knock the treble response out from the Woofer signal. I often use it with the outputs combined and the separate volume controls allow really accurate mixing of the signals. The woofer is a big unit and gets in the way for slap (if you do that) so a narrower choice might be better. A would think a Nordstrand humbucker soapbar would give you more room and still get you a deep and chunky low end. I think the body wood has a fair bit to do with the tone - it's a chunky bit of alder, and although I've owned other basses with the same pickups, the alder seems to give it loads of growl!

I don't really want to sell this, but something I've always wanted (not bass related) has become available so this is up for sale while the other item is still around. It's a spanking new Yamaha Attitude 3 signature bass. I've had it for a couple of months. Last in - First out. It's in perfect condition and has the proper hardcase and paperwork (more photos to follow). Full specs and some videos about the new wood treatment process and structure are on the Yamaha site here: http://uk.yamaha.com...d_3/?mode=model It has all the bits you expect - the split outputs (you can combine them by pulling up the P volume control), scallopped upper frets; Hipshot D-Tuner etc As per my usual musical leaning these days it has been played in the house and gigged with an Orchestra / County Music Group The last gig was with an Early Years Ukulele group where I rocked the house playing the melody part for 'Sesame Street' - complete with 2 amps using the split signal system!! the Ukulele kids thought I'd over done it a bit! So - no trades on this I'm afraid and I'm pretty firm on the price as it will just cover my mystery item! Collection / meet up is preferred. I'm in Northamptonshire near Junction 16 of the M1

PB62-58. 1993-94 build Selling my CIJ Fender PB62-58 I bought it in from Japan about 18 months ago as I always fancied a P bass, but wanted a neck that was a bit slimmer than a US Standard. It's not quite as slim as a Jazz neck, but it's not far off. Now I'm off-loading all my 4 strings as I'm really just a 5 string player. The Photo is from the Japanese dealer so I'll take some more this evening MODIFICATION: The stock pickup was lacking, so it now has a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder in it. I don't think I have the original one anymore, but if I find it you can have it. It's in great condition with 1 exception - the tone knob diamond pattern grip is a bit scratched up - almost like at some point some eijit had gripped it hard with pliers! Other than that it's tip top and is strung with Chromes that have nicely bedded in. It's only been 'gigged' with an Orchestra. It's only got a soft bag so I'd prefer collection / meet up. The bass is in Northants near J16 on the M1. Not really looking for trades as I'm culling the herd and hoping to end up with a pair of Marleaux 5 strings. ta

I've been thinking more about this and I'm going to do the same. I'm planning to end up with a pair of Marleaux 5 strings. So my 4 strings and my Dingwall ABZ5 will be going. It will be a bit odd, but the Marleaux gets all my attention anyway. The others just sit there and look pretty!
-
For sale at £1500 Drop to £1400 The Dingwall is in excellent condition and I think I might have a spare set of strings to go with it. I don't have a case or bag so any deal will have to be in person. The ABZ5 has the usual specs - fan frets, 37inch scale on the B to a 34 scale on G. 4 way pickup selector, volume and tone. Passive. Nice and light. It's in natural with a maple board (maple boards are now an expensive option on a new one, for some reason - I thought Canada was covered in Maple trees!). Couple of pics: No Trade offers please. Alas I find myself needing the money for non-bass expenses. I've only 'gigged' it with an Orchestra and that legendary low B has got some great comments! I'm in Northants, a couple of miles off J16 on the M1 ta SOLD & GONE
I've played a Fodera in a pub band many times. Most people wouldn't know one if it upped and slapped them in the face. Even a lot of everyday bass players wouldn't notice one from my experience. I'm currently gigging a, very, expensive Ritter. Apart from one guitarist asking what it was no-one has mentioned it so far. I used to gig a £3.5K MTD - at one gig a nice guy came up at the interval and told me what great basses the US Standard Fenders were but that I I couldn't afford one then the Mexican ones were pretty good. Not sure what he thought the MTD was but he obviously assumed it was worth less than a Mex Fender
ha ha ha!!! That's excellent!

Pub gig - 20 max, and that depends on the song lengths. Proper function band... that's different. If you are playing from 7pm to midnight you'll need about 60 and some spares that people request, and so you can adjust the set as you see how the punters react.
