  1. I did have to search, but that's Unlabel ? Still going strong ? That's good to know. The band I was in around 2006 had some recordings released by them. Hope you have a great gig !
  2. None of his hats seem to cover his ears, he's bound to get chilly. Now cardigans....that's more like it. I've taken the stage in a cardigan more than once.
  3. No habits, no 'lucky socks/shoes/Y-fronts/etc.' and certainly no hats - unless you're outdoors and it's cold.
  4. The artist formerly know as StevieE
  5. I wholeheartedly approve of this approach....in almost any situation.
  6. You'll be amazed by the answer !!
  7. Well, if it's in the interests of Science..... I had a 150w GP7 for many years, only moved on as a buddy sold me his Ampeg SVP-Pro preamp.
  8. Does it take control and slowly tear you apart ?
  9. I would, but I don't have a TE head to size up and test on. Oh rats, I know where this is going....
  10. For replacement slider caps, I've wondered if rubber screw thread protectors would do the job.
  11. You are the bass player from Disaster Area and I claim my £5.
  12. Rubbish, you're thinking about it right now
  13. Hard to choose, there are so many I really like. But I've voted for OHMSS, brilliant film, brilliant music...the whole score as well as the theme.

    EBS Micro Bass 3!

I have to say I don't really get that style of knob - they look almost designed to be easy to knock with your foot.
  15. That's brilliant !
  16. For sale: 1963 Jazz bass, lovingly restored by our experienced artisans to pristine ex-factory condition using period-correct materials and techniques and then reliced for a more authentic 'mojo' : 21000 Credits.
  17. At the risk of butting in, I rather think you're wasting your time Stub. There are a number of topics that can't be discussed (what I would call) sensibly on Basschat and tab is one of them. Any discussion of tab will ALWAYS turn into being told you should learn stave, even if you don't want to, need to or perhaps just find it difficult. It would be nice to be able to talk about tab objectively, but...well.....Basschat. YMMV of course
  18. These are they: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NYLON-WASHERS-FORM-A-FLAT-PLASTIC-WASHER-M2-5-M3-M4-M5-M6-M8-M10-M12-M16-M20/181905003668?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=481243053049&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  19. I needed to do the same on a bass of mine - I couldn't get any washers that matched exactly, but some M4 plastic washers from ebay just about fitted on mine, with a little overhang as the washer is too wide. I've not trimmed the excess, but a pair of sharp scissors would sort that out if needs be.
  20. Want to know what Teebs and Skinnyman are waiting for ? You'll be amazed at the answer !!!!
  21. Naaah, you're getting confused with the inventor of the piano key necktie
  22. The pickup is a low impedance humbucker and the impedance switch (the 50/100/250 switch) controls what impedance the pickup sees at the output transformer. Ah yes....I've just found the wiring diagram I remember finding They're fantastic basses....I'd not put up with the, shall we say 'balance issues', if it didn't sound so good.
  23. Gemini Pickups do a 13.5k Alnico V model - the 'Rolling Thunder'. Not ceramic, I know but it's the highest resistance one that springs to mind EDIT: Ah, yes...didn't see the budget you had, sorry.
  24. I thought it was an Integra, but after some ferreting around it looks like an Aria IGB-55 with an added precision pickup. Bit like this
  25. This is the problem I have -there's not really any free corners to mount any treatment. The wall/ceiling might be an option, I'll have a look at that, thanks.
