  1. This is the problem I have -there's not really any free corners to mount any treatment. The wall/ceiling might be an option, I'll have a look at that, thanks.
  2. Aaaah, right so Fred. Many thanks
  3. Hell, yes !
  4. I have exactly the same problem - small, very square room. Followed with interest.
  5. I was wondering something like this - maybe epoxy a spare or cheaply-bought allen key into the top of the bolt.
  6. Beautiful work.
  7. I think I'd still want a small amp... Just to be able to make things rattle now and again
  8. Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel that strongly when a musician I like dies. It's a bit sad - sure, someone dying is always sad...but I never seem to be moved as much as others are.
  9. I think he's talking bollocks too.
  10. 😱
  11. One thing's for sure....I've lost more plectrums than fingers over the years.
  12. Brilliant ! Always sad when you have to move on, but if you can that overall it's been a positive experience then that's great. And good for you for putting the family first, I hope things move and align for you so that you'll be able to rock and/or roll soon. 👍
  13. I'd echo this - try a few and see how you get on. I use the grey Dunlop 0.88 ones when I use a plectrum, quite thin as it goes, but I'm a fey indie kid at heart and heavy plectrums hurt my delicate fingers and stop me making daisy chains in the long grass.
  14. That's brilliant, thanks ! Reminds me of 'Pendulum Music' by Steve Reich
  15. Nice review, thanks. I particularly enjoyed you playing some nice long sustained notes in your demo...much easier to hear the tone of the bass with than a lot of fast riffing/popping and slapping.
  16. Save something back for the encore and knock the audience dead
  17. >Adopts expression of man who's walked into a pub, ordered a pint and wondered why everyone's started laughing<
  18. Interesting - I've got a Neopak 3.5 and the valve preamp is very noisy, and I too have tried a few different valves but to no avail. 😣
  19. That's where every discussion of tab and stave goes on this forum, sadly. Stave may be the best of notation methods, but if it doesn't work for you then that's fine. I use tab occasionally alongside the music (because that's what tab is for in my opinion - it's not meant to be used in isolation) but I'm not bothered about stave and I'm not bothered about those who say I should learn it. You do as you wish Stub.
  20. Animal and Floyd Pepper
  21. I think you got 'Low - Mid - High' and that was it !
  22. I was always thoroughly confused by the buttons...were you meant to press in all of them ? Some of them ?
  23. Respect also !
  24. There was a time when almost every practise studio in Newcastle had one of these. I'll agree - amazing that it's only 100W, always seemed more than loud enough !
