  1. My old 70’s Grabber has been a favourite since I bought it 12 years ago however it was totally original and cost £410 posted. It was the first and only bass I bought from eBay that felt right straight out of the box. I’d not sell it. This one looks to need work but if you are willing to take it on and the seller is willing to negotiate a decent price I would have a serious look. The pickups on these are superb. I have a spare Grabber pickup that sometimes I use in my bass that shall not be uttered on this forum. 🤣
  2. I thought as much. The F plate and odd looking heel and serial number. I’m more into early MIJ Squiers than MIJ Fender ‘Fenders’ other than the E Series. I recall some of them having the smaller rectangular mechanism tuners with the clover leafs and these look very dubious. So who wants to burst his bubble?
  3. It doesn’t look right to me what do you lot think? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F263973095673
  4. Many distributors used local luthiers/builders to produce guitars and basses for them and then rebadge them. For example the Shaftesbury name became associated with the Ned Callan range - which were actually produced by Peter Cook. Also the description suggests a limited edition to celebrate an anniversary of Alligator amps - a similar deal perhaps to Trace Elliot employing Status to produce their early T Bass models.
  5. The person has also previously sold a Dan Armstrong plexi Bass and an Ovation Magnum I amongst others. I had been in touch about both and she appeared genuine. Certainly knowledgeable about potential value rather than the actual instruments. That to me would suggest that the story is true however I take your point. At least it’s a change from found in ‘my Uncle’s loft’...
  6. What rating is the LM II please?

Si personally delivered a Status Bass to me and also ended up leaving with a Markbass amp! As ever great to deal with and to chat about all things bass related. Many thanks Si!
  10. It had been bumped though Mark and not by me! 😁
  11. I’m playing with three bands over two days at Lancaster Live mate 😆
  12. Hiding under my Markbass rig Lee!
  13. Looks nice what are the dimensions of the cab and would you consider couriers?
  14. Very high quality loud lightweight cab from EBS Price included a ‘Hot’ cover - not specific to the cab but does the job. Specs here - https://www.bestbassgear.com/ebs-neoline-110-cabinet.htm No trades I can post in the UK at buyers cost/arrangement. Great little extension cab or standalone for small gigs and rehearsals.
  15. Pm sent re 1x12
  16. Markbass Nano 300 - got this in a trade but I don’t really need it. It’s boxed and virtually new. I will send this but within the UK only at buyers cost. No trades. http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/nano-mark-300/
  17. If my Markbass Mini sells I’ll be on this as I’m looking for a 4 ohm cab
  18. Lancaster
  19. Anybody interested in this - it’s a body and neck from a Baldwin Burns Baby Bison bass from around 1965. It’s a project piece obviously. No parts included it’s been stripped from the original red and looks in good shape. The neck has been neatly defretted. There is no binding. I got it from eBay as a winter project but I’ve decided it’s too much for me so I thought I’d see if I could generate any interest on here. Neck and body are solid enough no structural breaks or cracks but lots of dings and lacquer crazing. Happy to post in the UK if required.
  20. and replied still for sale
  21. Many thanks to Pete for a great Markbass trade. Very smooth transaction. Cheers!
  22. Now sold pending
  23. I’m happy to post it. You won’t be disappointed with the sound and punch of these. I also ran it with a 10” EBS extension cab to see what it was like and it nearly knocked the double glazing out 😵
  24. Price lowered to £760
