  1. Many thanks for posting the Markbass amp so promptly. Cheers Ash
  2. Very nice bass, what’s its weight please?
  3. 1972 Fender Telecaster Bass. This is the three bolt neck Telebass with large chrome humbucker pickup. This bass benefits from a single MIJ Jazz pickup at the bridge and a three way switch so you can use a combination of both or each one individually for a good range of sounds. There is a later signature under the hood and in the neck pocket I believe from the person who modded the electrics. You can get a massive muddy sub or articulate midrange from it. It looks like it has been stripped of the original finish to natural wood. It’s a good weight for a 70s Fender bass at 4.4kgs and comes with a rather scruffy none original old case that will protect it in transit. The modern thumbrest is wooden and one of the knobs is from a more recent Fender and the pots/wiring has been customised. The original fretboard was removed before I bought it and it had a replacement fretless rosewood board that I had fretted. The bass plays very well up the neck and is comfy and well balanced. It’s a lovely instrument though definitely not one for collectors since it’s been customised. It is an excellent players bass however. I’m open to sensible offers of course. UK only. Pickup preferred but I will post at buyers cost. Would trade for a maple neck US Precision with cash adjustment either way depending on age and condition. Note that the back of the neck is unmarked, very smooth to play with no big dings or dents, or major blemishes, there are some small cosmetic marks and minor bruises but negligible when playing. Pics added.
  4. Status Smart Bass in blue/teal. The bass was made in the UK by Rob Green at Status and was one of the series designed by players with a variety of pickup configurations and finishes. This model has two hyperactive Status soap bar pickups with an 18v preamp featuring volume, blend, bass and treble eq. It has the super stable carbon graphite woven neck and has a Jazz like profile with a slim nut width. Hardware is top quality and the build quality is first class as you would expect from one of the UK’s most respected bass builders. The bass weighs around 4.5kgs and is well balanced with a low action. It is in near mint condition with a perfect neck. This is an excellent opportunity to buy a custom UK made Status at a bargain price. This is a UK only sale. I’m only selling this as I recently acquired it in a trade however I prefer a wider neck so prefer my old 90’s Status. I’d consider a more recent Fender US Precision in terms of trades. Nothing else thanks.
  5. Here’s my early 80’s MIJ Matsumoku built Aria Pro SB 700 Bass. Essentially it’s an SB 1000 without the active preamp. The build quality is excellent with a through neck and heavy duty brass bridge. The neck is straight and true with good frets, electrics/pickups are original and working properly. Bass comes with a gig bag. It’s a reluctant sale however it’s a bit too heavy for my glass back at 5kgs. UK sale only. No trades sorry.

A pleasure to (bass) chat to and deal with as ever! Thanks Martin
  7. As have I - I’ve owned one for 33 years best Jazz I’ve ever played
  8. It weighs 5.2kgs I just got a message from the seller - ouch!
  9. This great little combo will manage rehearsals and even small gigs with an extension speaker. It is in excellent condition and comes with official Markbass add on tweeter, mains lead and Roqsolid cover. I no longer need it as I have a Barefaced Midget cab for smaller gigs and rehearsals. I can post at buyers cost through Interparcel.
  10. It’s a nice bass definitely worth the money.
  11. No probs Dunc it’s a great amp GLWTS
  12. I bought this recently for a project that’s now fallen through. These basses were Kramer’s nod to the headless craze of the 80’s. I’d imagine that this is quite a rare semi-transparent aquamarine/blue finish as I’ve usually seen them in black, red or white. It plays very well and is in very good condition for its age. It’s the deluxe version with Schaller hardware and Dimarzio double Jazz pickup. Frets are good and the neck is nice and straight. There are some dings to the finish near the strap button and at the back of the neck butt where it is bolted on. Nothing major or structural, merely cosmetic. It weighs around 3.5kgs and balances fine. The case is in decent condition with sound hinges and catches. The handle has had an attempted repair and isn’t usable but it is the original one. When I bought it the volume and tone had been bypassed and the mini-switch was working as a kill switch in the middle position. I found a wiring diagram online and rewired it so volume and tone behave now as they ought to. The middle position remains as a kill or mute switch the other positions appear to alter which coil is working. It’s got a pretty funky midrange and sounds great. Note it’s a short scale bass and newly strung with Daddarios. I’m not looking for trades and would prefer personal pickup however I’ll post in the UK at buyers expense. Look at the pics - it’s an unusual little US made bass great for travelling with. Sold
  13. I bought a cab off Neil excellent service, packaging and communication thanks!
  14. Sub Phatty - it’s a great self contained synth although the keyboard is only two octaves I can use it with my full size midi keyboard. The Sub 37 is not as warm sounding in my opinion although it’s a very flexible synth. The Grandmother is the nearest thing to my old Moog Rogue in terms of sound and the sequencer is much more immediate than the 37. Heck I’d keep them all but I have to think about my finances and room space. The other thing about the Sub Phatty is that it’s built like a tank and it’s oscillators stabilise in 30 seconds so it’s perfect for sweaty pub gigs.
  15. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Custom-Made-Fender-PRECISION-P-BASS-Copy-Guitar-Good-Electrics-V-Solid/192882894330?hash=item2ce8b765fa:g:1TEAAOSwt2FcqQvj Custom made eh? Edit - I’ve contacted the seller and told them it’s a Kay and they actually replied and thanked me.
  16. I know I’ve gone through a few but I’m keeping the Moog Sub and my vintage ‘76 Arp Odyssey. This is a great synth but I prefer the convenience of the Sub for live work and the Arp is my studio synth.
  17. This is my Markbass Traveller cab complete with cover. It’s a very loud and punchy cab and very easy to move about. It is in excellent condition with minor scuffing to the covering. The Markbass logo has been removed however it’s included in the sale. No trades I’m selling as I need to downsize my gear. Cash on collection unfortunately I have no packaging with which to post this. Thanks!
  18. Yes the neck looks like it’s from an Ibanez Eagle or the Antoria version, however I thought the logo on both models was inlaid? Perhaps it was a decal on a painted headstock originally?
  19. Pm sent
  20. Would you post?
  21. Moog Grandmother Analog Synth. This synth is as new and unregistered. It’s a great two oscillator synth with built in sequencer and plenty of patching options and spring reverb. The synth comes boxed with psu, patch leads and manual. A brilliant synth but more for the studio than for live work in my opinion. I’d prefer pickup in person as I’m not keen on posting synths. I may consider posting in its original packaging UK only at buyer’s cost. No trades.
  22. Yes I’d ship it depending where you are
  23. Sorry not likely to be heading down towards London in the near future and I don’t have any facilities to record it - it is a very versatile bass though.
  24. Wow yes it must be I got it as it is now - I wish it were a four as it is indeed quality! Thanks for the picture.
