Moog Minitaur Bass Synth Module This is the up to date v 2.2 edition, comes complete with box, PSU and manuals. Lovely two oscillator synth specifically voiced for bass but can produce lead sounds too. The ladder filter is classic Moog with weight and width to the oscillators. It is a US made synth - Moog has since changed ownership and now mainly manufactured in the far east. The Minitaur is well constructed in a pressed steel case with nice positive action on all buttons and knobs. It is based on the classic Moog Taurus bass pedals of the 70’s as used by Rush, Genesis, Yes and more. All works as it ought to with plenty of control via the front panel, also presets and the ability to hook up to a computer and fine tweak sounds via free Moog software. The module is in excellent condition albeit with some cosmetic ‘rack rash’ on the sides of the unit. UK only, I’d prefer pick up in person but can post at buyer’s expense.

Nice bass I bought the Jetglo version they had in stock at Promenade last week and really love the neck. I think the new bridge and single trussrod make excellent upgrades to the 4003 line. They are very consistent - I’ve owned and played a lot of Rics and they have had some quirks however these recent models are excellent basses. GLWTS.

A small but powerful modular system I put together based around a Moog Mother 32 synth and sequencer. I added a Doepfer LFO A145 for increased modulation possibilities. I also added an Erica PICO DSP for onboard effects such as delays, chorus and reverb. There is a Doepfer mixer A138 and Behringer CP1A power supply. The modules are housed in an official Moog 104 HP case with some rack space left for more modules. The unit is unboxed and comes with mains adapter, patch leads as pictured. There is no midi lead included. The units are in very good condition and the Moog unit was recently serviced. The case has a cosmetic scratch at the front as pictured. I can include some extra rack screws. It’s compact but quite heavy as there is a lot packed into a small space! It is a great introduction to modular with plenty of patch options for experimentation. The Mother 32 has an onboard sequencer and small rubber ‘keys’ so it can be used standalone using headphones or an amp. It can be triggered by external midi or cv controllers. Selling as a complete unit. Pickup preferred but I can post UK only at buyer’s cost. It’s worth looking at reviews of each module to get a better perspective of what they can do. Sandberg VS4 California Passive Soft Aged Finish German made Sandberg VS4 Passive version. Really fantastic passive Precision type bass with subtle lightly aged Fiesta Red finish and aged hardware. It’s very light at 3.6kgs and has a lovely dark rosewood board and slim maple neck. Amazing German build quality and sounds like a good Precision ought to. I have two of these but I prefer maple boards on P type basses and since I recently bought another Ric I’m afraid this has to go. It comes with Allen key, manufacture info leaflet, Sandberg gigbag and original box. Frets are in superb shape and trussrod works as it ought to. The only marks to my knowledge are the factory finish ones. Beautiful bass for the money. Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost UK only no trades sorry. Price drop to encourage a sale. Lovely bass I have two but a recent purchase means I need to move one of my basses on.

Keith McMillen KMI 12 Step and MIDI Expander This is the original KMI 12 Step Controller. It can be used as a set of bass pedals, to trigger chords, samples or even drum sounds. I’ve used it with a variety of synth modules for adding strings and organ for live gigs. I’m now playing more keyboards live so I’ve gone back to my Hammond bass pedals. There is software online to hook it up to a computer or iPad but I’ve always used it with hardware and it has done the job really well. I’ve colour coded the ins and outs with tape but can remove if required I’ve also taped the note names on the unit as I found it easier to see live. I used masking tape so it’s easy to remove without much residue to clean. KMI has now been rebranded as Muse Kinetics since Keith McMillen sadly died last year. Support is still available for all the KMI branded versions of their products. It’s really small and neat compared to a traditional bass pedal controller and weighs next to nothing. The unit itself is slim and made from woven carbon fibre. I have the original (tatty) packaging for both the pedals and the expander. I’ve included a link so you can see what it does. The Mark 2 version retails at around £435 street. The included MIDI expander was bought separately for £65 as I wanted to integrate it with my outboard hardware rather than use it with my computer. Hipshot BT extender for Fender older basses I think the model is the BT2. It was fitted to my 1978 Fender Precision but will fit on some reissues from the 70’s too. Great condition as rarely used. See pics. UK post included.

Waldorf Streichfett String Synth Module A really great module that emulates the classic string machines of the 70’s and 80’s and more. The unit is small and portable and powered by USB. Very flexible sounds and effects. Made in Germany it comes with all accessories and original box. It’s as new as I used it a couple of times with my foot pedals but my new keyboard has some built in string sounds so no longer needed. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK only. This is a parts bass made with a JV Precision neck and neck plate, all the original JV hardware (tuners, string tree, bridge and headstock strap button). Pickup is a mid 2000’s MIM Fender and the electrics were with the body which is a Y series early 2000 Chinese Squier. The scratch-plate is from a Korean Squier and I also have the original but cracked Chinese scratch-plate. I bought the JV neck and parts minus the original body. The neck had to have a snapped screw removed from the neck butt before it was doweled and filled by the luthier. The serial number, neck plate and Squier hardware are all from one bass. The neck plate has some corrosion but the JV serial number is visible. Although listed as a project the bass plays well as is. It has been set up with a low action wearing D’Addario strings. The truss-rod works and frets are good. The necks on these early Japanese Squiers are fantastic as no doubt you are aware. The instrument is reasonably light at 3.8kgs and sounds like a typical Precision. Selling at what it cost me in parts. No trades sorry, pickup preferred but I can post in the UK only at buyer’s cost. Ferrofish B4000+ Organ Module Hammond Brilliant little organ module from Ferrofish that makes any midi controller into a Hammond organ complete with drawbars, reverb, rotary speaker and overdrive. It’s really solidly made all steel construction with a small but clear display to show your way through the presets and variations. You can use it to save your own sounds or as a live organ using the drawbars. You can attach a control pedal to it for the rotary effect and it has USB and midi. It is also designed to be used with two controllers and a set of bass pedals if you want the full B3 experience but it doesn’t take four roadies to shift it! High quality and still being manufactured in Germany it comes boxed with manual PSU and USB lead. I’ve used it occasionally for gigs when space has been tight but mainly for rehearsals rather than carting my Nord around so I can use the in house controller. Really handy little unit.
