  1. Ah didn’t realise you’d been communicating with the person.
  2. Yes but if that person is a scammer pretending to be a person you know as in the case of Chaypup (who I have had great deals with previously) it would be hard not to be taken in. I’m glad that nobody lost out this time.
  3. Very easy deal and despite some Royal Mail delays a very patient Basschatter! Many thanks.
  4. Used in my home studio - great monitors or for your Hi Fi Monitor Audio Bronze BR2 Hi Fi Speakers/Monitors The speakers are in superb condition having never been pushed hard. They come with original grills. Cosmetically they are in great condition with a few marks as can be seen in the pics. I’d prefer pickup but can wrap and post at buyer’s cost. They are robustly made therefore pretty chunky and weighty so postal costs will reflect this. Posted will be about £18 Come from a smoke free home. 5. Used to be mine - you can’t go wrong with one of these! Great bass from a great seller.
  6. Hofner Contemporary Violin Bass The bass is like new and comes with a Hofner case. It has been modded to look like the vintage German made models - whitened switches, teacup knobs and flat wound black nylon Pyramid strings. It comes with original knobs, strings and tags. It’s a lovely bass to play - I’ve owned several German basses vintage and modern and this sounds and plays as well as the best of these. The pickups are German made and sound great. Use the neck pickup only and you’ve got that famous ‘rooftop concert’ tone. A very light and versatile bass. I’m happy to post at buyer’s cost in the UK no trades. I withdrew this initially but have decided I need to move it on now.
  7. Lovely loaded Sterling SB14 neck with fully working trussrod and nice thin nut width. Will presumably fit a US Sterling or Indonesian Sterling SB14 or your project. Selling as I prefer maple boards and managed to find an American Sterling neck with a maple board.
  8. I don’t use it so it’s up for grabs. Pickup preferred but I’ll post in the UK for £5. It’s in very good condition and perfect for sitting your MB combo or cab at an angle.
  9. I bought a wonderful Trace Elliot T bass from Chay and I am very happy with both bass and the quality of packing. Great service and friendly communication throughout. Many thanks!
  10. This is the model to fit on vintage Fender basses 67-82. It’s in excellent condition and was only briefly fitted to an SQ Precision before I sold it on. Comes with fitting instructions, ferrule, mounting screws and packaging. Price includes UK postage. Thanks
  11. The early JVs are Sen ash or alder. I would imagine alder as it’s a solid colour and light.
  12. Lovely bass shame it’s the rosewood version otherwise I would have been tempted.
  13. Ampeg SVT Pro Mk II I am reducing this and making a substantial loss on it but I need it gone as I am moving house. I can’t post it and a commercial courier wouldn’t touch it because of the weight. You’ll need to come and pick it up so I figure reducing it by a chunk may incentivise a potential buyer to put petrol in a car and drive over to Lancaster. I will consider trades - try me. This is definitely a massive bargain. Classic US built valve amp. You’ll no doubt have seen or heard one of these in action at major gigs and festivals over the years. I’ve played through a couple and they shift huge amounts of valve power through the right cab. My little Jennings cab can’t cope! There’s lots of info online about these - I got it in a recent part trade with Walshy. I have to be honest and say it’s a beautiful beast of an amp but just too big for my needs and so I’m selling it on. It’s got a very nice flight case with it and is all there having recently been serviced - It didn’t come with a mains lead but it’s your normal kettle lead job. Strictly pickup in person. I can’t lift or even pack things at the moment owing to tendon surgery. I’m selling for what it owes me and what it was originally listed at. I’d consider trades for a similar value instrument or amp. A short scale bass plus balance - eg short scale Sterling Stingray plus £300. Or a nice Precision with a maple board. Try me with trades through PM but keep in mind you’ll have to come to me as I can’t travel at the moment. Thanks for looking. There’s a good article about it here - https://www.guitarinteractivemagazine.com/review/ampeg-svt-2-pro-amplifier/ I’ve reduced it as I’m moving house and need a quick sale. Try me on trades. I need it gone really as it’s just too big for me to take with me. Once again to those who have asked it’s pick up in person only.
  14. Another successful deal with Alain - this time for a Sterling SB14 (not a P bass for once) which sadly I can’t play for a few months but it looks superb. Good to catch up as ever. Cheers Alain!
  15. Ruairidh bought my old faithful EBMM Sterling bass - quick payment and excellent, friendly communication perfect! Many thanks.

  18. Exactly - £400 would be plenty.

  20. I had this bass for a while too, hope it finds a good home. It was a lovely instrument but a little too heavy for me. Whenever it crops up I’m tempted! GLWTS
  21. Not sure if this counts but I had an operation on my fretting hand a week ago and will not be able to play for at least three months. Therefore my ‘bass’ for this period will be my newly acquired Roland VR-09 keyboard.
