  1. Beautiful - very sorry to hear about your health issues.

  3. This is a 2015 Rickenbacker Laredo Bass 4004 model in jetglo. It’s in amazing condition and virtually mint. The bass weighs around 4.1kgs and has absolutely no issues, it comes with original Ric case and includes all certificates and manuals. The bass has had the pots upgraded to two volumes and tone rather than the usual volume, tone and pickup selector switch. The volume controls also feature a coil tap push pull switch making it a very flexible bass. Should you wish to change it back to the original configuration the original wiring loom is included. I’d definitely prefer pickup I’m afraid. The bass has the signature Ric sound but is far more comfortable to play thanks to the contoured body. The Schaller bridge makes it very easy to intonate too. I was told Rickenbacker have stopped production of this model. UK only. Price reduced for a quick sale. Postage £30 UK only I’d consider part trades - plus cash. I need to release at least £950 funds on this so I’d consider US Fenders or Musicman basses. Thanks
  4. Seymour Duncan SPJ -3 Quarter Pound pickup set and wiring loom. This set is in excellent functional condition the covers are marked and chewed up a little where they were taken from the bass that they were mounted too. Unfortunately the screws for the Jazz pickup had been badly stripped. I can provide a new generic Jazz cover if required but the holes are smaller for the pole pieces. The loom is included so it’s easy to fit them to a bass with minimum amount of soldering. UK only. Set consists of one quarter pound SPB3 pickup and one quarter pound SJB3 pickup plus volume, volume, tone loom. Blurb from SD here - The Seymour Duncan SPJ-3 Quarter Pound PJ Bass Pickup Set gives you the massive attitude from the Jazz bass pickup in the bridge together with the fat, full, punchy Precision bass tone. Together these Quarter Pound bass pickups provide a sonically full voice with a hold on to your hats high output punch, each strike of the string provides a full low end bite with plenty of sustain, these pickups shine in classic rock, hard rock, punk, grunge and metal applications. The Jazz bass bridge pickup was designed to deliver hot output, great attack, and massive attitude, the 1/4" diameter poles and intense coil winding deliver a full, even response, with great sustain and sonic richness. Drop in replacement for Fender American Jazz Bass bridge pickup routes (not the smaller neck size). The magnets on the Quarter Pound P Bass pickup expand the magnetic field and extend the frequency ranges for a fat, full, punchy sound with tremendous midrange presence and maximum output. Though often used for heavy rock tones, this pickup set offers amazing tonal versatility, making it a favourite across the board in live and studio settings. Drop in replacement for Fender American Precision Bass pickup routes. UK post only sold elsewhere
  5. Welcome back to the Northwest Precision bass exchange… Yes we did it again - another great trade with Alain this time in the similar shapes of my SQ for his JV plus a few £££ to sweeten the deal. Seriously good basses and a chance for a catch up. I also got the opportunity to play and scribble on Alain’s excellent Limelight Leland Sklar tribute bass. Credit to Basschat as per. Cheers!
  6. Gosh that’s a beauty Alain! Urgh - pm sent
  7. I bought an MIJ Precision body from Andy, great service and comms, it arrived today as described and well packaged. Many thanks Andy!
  8. Squier SQ Precision Bass 1983/4 The SQ series were built alongside the JV models and were the MIJ equivalent of US basses of that era rather than vintage reissues. Japanese build quality, nice and light with excellent necks. This one is all original apart from the, strap buttons, controls and pickup - this has a Thumper pickup that sounds great and CTS pots. Original electrics are long gone. The neck has been gently sanded by a previous owner to create a less glossy finish - plays like a dream. The neck blemishes have been drop filled and can barely be felt under the hand. It’s a lovely instrument and weighs 4.2kgs. There are some minor cosmetic dings and marks but nothing structural. It’s a gigging workhorse and great as a main bass or backup. I bought this from a fellow Basschatter and was going to use the body for another project and part it out. It’s too nice an instrument in its own right so I bought another donor body and am selling this as I already have a similar MIJ model. No case or bag however it will be strung with D’addario flats. I can post in the UK at buyer’s cost as I have a decent box. No trades sorry.
  9. It’s £511 already! Still 9 days to go. 😬
  10. Hmm interesting - I’ve owned one Jaydee the shape looks fine but headstock and tuner placement looks odd to me. Is it a copy? Hand painted body or sprayed? Pickup is not the usual wooden laminate cover. Could be a nice project if it’s real but there are usually serial numbers or stamps on the back of the headstock that I can’t see on these pics - but I am viewing on a phone screen.
  11. This is the rarer MKI white livery ARP Odyssey clone from Korg. These are getting hard to find and although they have the advantage of all three different switchable filter types the look of this version has always been my favourite. Dave Formula exclusively used the ARP Mk1 in Magazine as did Herbie Hancock on the Headhunters albums. This Korg was built with slim keys and a slightly smaller footprint than the original however the electronics and sounds are pretty much the same as my old vintage Odysseys but without the need for constant TLC and the worry it’s going to break down mid set! It comes with a fantastic case for carrying it around in and all leaflets, manuals, PSU and patch leads. It also has the advantage of midi so you can control it from a full-size keyboard. There is also modern USB plus vintage CV connectivity so it will work with your DAW, modular system or aging vintage sequencer. Loads of demos online. This is in excellent condition. A few marks and the keys have yellowed a little as they do with this model. No longer needed as it was purchased to complete some recordings. I can post in the UK only at buyer’s cost. No trades sorry.
  12. If you change your mind about posting it can I be first in the queue? Been after one for ages 😬

    Feedback for Tdw

Tom picked up an 8 string Shergold today from me - quick and easy deal with a nice guy - credit to the Basschat community, thanks!
  14. No it looks to be the real thing as the black plastic tuner ferrules and inlays are correct for a period around late 70s early 80s. Fakers didn’t copy that. Possibly all sorts wrong with it but it’s a bargain. No doubt it will be flipped unless it is a stolen instrument and if it is here’s hoping it’s reunited with its rightful owner.
  15. I did a trade with Vin for his Rickenbacker bass, all went smoothly and the bass is in lovely as described condition - many thanks!
  16. Ah but it’s an eBay auction and it’s got 99 watchers and now it’s £270 and tomorrow it could be £350 and Wednesday it could be a grand - so the value as always is what it gets bid up to not what it starts off as. Oh yes I’m watching it too 😊
  17. Yamaha Reface DX Keyboard This is a lovely portable keyboard from Yamaha and features many of the classic DX series sounds made famous in the 80’s. It is in excellent condition and comes with original midi adapter lead and Yamaha PSU. There is no box or manual included but the manual is available online. It’s very easy and intuitive to programme unlike its predecessors! It is extremely portable thanks to its optional battery power and built in speakers so perfect for acoustic jams or for travelling with. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK only at cost. There are lots of demos of the sounds online. Thanks for looking.
  18. Price includes UK postage. Sone wear to the chrome and signs of use but still excellent functional condition. Steel bass bridge for four string instruments, compact design with a large range of adjustment in three dimensions. The saddles are fed and adjusted with Allen screws which reduces rattling and buzzing. Heavy, precision-crafted components for extra long sustain. Thanks for looking!
  19. SWR Working Pro 10 Combo I’ve used this little combo for double bass and small gigs. As I no longer own a double bass it’s currently being used as a cat scratching post. A great little amp that has a tilt back feature and switchable tweeter. Having owned several of the earlier Workingman series small SWR combos this compares well. It functions as it ought to but the carpet ‘rat fur’ covering has been scratched down to the wood in places (thanks to my cat who unbeknownst to me discovered it in the spare room). Pots are a little scratchy probably down to not being used for a while, nothing a little switch cleaner won’t shift. If you aren’t fussy about cosmetics this is a great amp for small gigs and rehearsals. It weighs around 20kgs so I think pickup is best but if you wanted to organise a courier I could box it up. This would be at your risk though and UK only obviously. No trades. Specifications below - The smallest member of the WorkingPro family, but don’t let that fool you! The WorkingPro 10 delivers 100 watts at 4 ohms in what amounts to a mini-thunderstorm. With a single 10’ speaker, piezo tweeter, and tilt-back design, this easily-portable little baby is great for small gigs and practicing. 1X10" Eminence® speaker, Le Son® TLX-1e tweeter horn, SWR® preamp with: Aural Enhancer™, Bass Intensifier™ circuit, Wedge EQ circuit, Side-mounted monitor input jack, 3-Band Active EQ, Tilt-back cabinet, Headphone jack, Effects Send & Return, Unbalanced 1/4" & Balanced XLR Lines out Height: 18.2 in (47 cm), Width: 17.9 in (45 cm), Depth: 15.3 in (39 cm) 41 lbs. (18.6 kg)
  20. Waldorf Rocket Synthesiser Module I’ve been using this little module as a bass synth for a while but have now upgraded. It’s great because it’s very stable and easy to use and a great introduction to synths for a newcomer. There’s an in depth review before and yes Waldorf still manufacture them as they are highly regarded for lead, bass, arpeggios, etc. This one comes boxed with software and USB power lead (no plug but a USB phone charger plug does the job) and two custom overlays. Postage in the UK will be around £8 https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/waldorf-rocket?amp
