  3. Here’s a later set neck Aria Pro SB600 from the late 70s early 80s. I bought it as a bit of a project and was thinking of stripping it back to the wood and restoring it. The bass has been refinished in candy apple red before I bought it and this looks like a pro job. The rather ostentatious Aria logo isn’t original and has been stencilled on I think. Lack of time and spare cash however means I need to move it on. The bass plays well although it has a couple of odd saddles and one of the grub screws has seized. The original brass nut is present, frets are good and the neck is very nice indeed. There are a couple of missing screws on the trussrod cover and the knobs are replacements. The pickup isn’t working properly and I tried rewiring it and though I replaced the switch it still didn’t work properly - it sounds like a coil has gone. (I have included the original switch). Having read up on them it seems that they are notoriously difficult pickups to repair or rewind as they are potted in some kind of resin. Replacement pickups are available from Armstrong pickups and other custom manufacturers. It is a nice old Japanese made instrument and a bit of a classic design. Perfect for modding or restoration. No trades cash on collection preferred and I can post for £20 UK only.
  4. I bought this combo eight months ago and have only gigged it a couple of times. It’s as good as new and hasn’t been pushed. These are superb little combos and can keep up with a drummer with ease without PA support in most rehearsal and small gig situations. It’s languished in my house unused since March. I’d prefer pickup but can post at buyers cost as I have the original box. £450 No trades. Lots of people have expressed interest and then tyre kicked, please don’t waste my time and yours if you can’t pay for it. Or you have to sell your kidneys or grandmother to raise funds and no I won’t hold it back until 2021 because there are no gigs anyway at the moment 😉. If it’s on here it’s still for sale. http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/mini-cmd-121p/
  5. Cheers Gareth I have two of these and this one is the spare - they are used when my back is playing up and my Precision Bass is just too much of a heft. You are right - I tried a Mustang and a Musicmaster but the scale length didn’t suit. As these are an excellent lightweight alternative I will always have one in my arsenal of basses.
  6. Here is a lovely Squier SQ series Bullet bass, it was made in Japan around 1984 and is of exceptional build quality. It is a long scale light weight bass (under 4kgs) and has the distinctive Tele or 51 P style headstock, smaller body and Mustang type pickups. Essentially it’s a slightly smaller and lighter P bass. The neck is shallow and the action low. It’s very comfy to play over long periods. The bass is in great condition with a clean neck with good frets and working trussrod. All hardware and electrics work as they ought to with some tarnishing to the chrome as it is nearly 36 years old! No structural damage although there is some wear and dings to the body as pictured. It comes with a decent case. Shipping in the UK possible at buyers cost. A nice early fairly rare old Squier. I’ve set it up with new Rotos 40-100s and given it a thorough polish and switch clean. The action is incredibly low! No trades.
  7. Great buyer no problems at all very quick payment and no fuss deal! Cheers
  8. Spare Wizard pickup and loom bought for a project that didn’t materialise. It’s well made and has the Wizard stamp on the base. I tested it in my Musicmaster and it has a nice thump to it. The loom is prewired with mini pots it’s basic but works well. Postage in the UK included.

  10. The one I had as my first bass was an off white one but it had a discoloured oblong patch on the front where a sticker had been removed - I’m always looking out for that one I still have the owners manual!
  11. I bought this recently from another forum member - it’s lovely but it will only get limited use and I now need to get my amp repaired and have had to invest in a spare so this needs to go to fund that. It’s basically a Bass VI but very well made and more versatile than the Fender/Squier versions out there. Korean made and very high quality. Some minor dings and marks but nothing structural and the neck is lovely. It’s a 30” scale. Postage at buyers cost in the UK only basic gig bag included. Selling for what I paid no trades.
  12. Buy yourself a present Andy 😉
  13. Lovely little 30” scale Fender Musicmaster Bass from the US it was made in 1977 and comes with its original flimsy but functional case. Hardware is all original apart from one of the pick guard screws and a machine head retaining screw. I also think the thumbrest is a replacement as it looks a little wider than the original would have been. As you can see it has had a four saddle bridge installed that makes it much easier to intonate. The original bridge is included and reversing this modification can be done without any extra holes being revealed. The bass has had one of the capacitors removed as this was taking the treble off the pickup - again this is easily reversed and the cap is included. The bass has had a fret dress and has been fitted with heavier gauge strings - it plays superbly and sounds nice and punchy. A set of standard gauge Fender strings is included. It is incredibly light at under 8lbs and is very well balanced. A perfect bass for those with glass backs! There is wear and tear and some paint touch ups but nothing dreadful or structural, finish hairline checking is merely cosmetic, one tiny ding on the back of the neck as pictured. I’m only selling as I’ve just bought a 60th Anniversary Precision so this must go. No trades. Happy to post at buyers expense but pickup is preferable. This is a nice way of owning a vintage Fender without destroying your bank balance! Now £sold! Cheers

  15. You sent it to me and I still have it! Much appreciated too. I had one of these ‘Dalek’s Handbags’ too. Very rare to find with all the bits. GLWTS
  16. I wish it were a future bass it may be worth more! I think it’s a reference to Fender’s 50th anniversary. 😀
  17. Here we have a set of active EMGs in excellent condition taken from my old JV Jazz as I have restored it to the originals. they haven’t been gigged as I used them for a studio recording only and then preferred the sound of my Status bass. they are boxed and work perfectly and I’ll include some black knobs with grub screws that actually fit the EMG pot shafts! I can post in the UK for a fiver.
  18. This is now on hold
  19. It’s not a highly lacquered sticky finish it feels more satin to me. Fast and easy to play
  20. I got this an a very recent trade as part of the deal but I have no need for another Jazz. Great as a backup but a lovely instrument in its own right. Korean made Jazz in very good condition, cleaned with new jack and set up with Rotos. It’s got a great neck and bags of sustain as it’s not a cheap ply body and has some weight to it at about 4.4kgs. Sorry no gig bag included. Aftermarket thumbrest fitted everything else is stock. I'd consider a trade on a Markbass LM head or Blackline nothing else sorry. I can post in the UK for £20.
  21. I’m reluctantly selling my lovely Fender USA 77/78 Precision in the rare mocha brown finish. It’s a beautiful bass and as you can see it is in excellent condition. I did sell this once and then bought it back as I love this bass but needs must. The bass is totally stock, original finish and includes the bridge cover (but not the pickup cover unfortunately) and thumbrest. Check out the stickers under the scratchplate and pot codes. There’s some slight tarnishing to some of the hardware but all functions as it ought to with lots of life in the frets and trussrod. It has recently been set up with a light fret dress and attention to the nut. It now plays perfectly. It weighs a tad under 4.4kgs so a great weight for a bass of this era. It even has the sales voucher from when it was sold secondhand back in 1989! It comes with a modern vintage style Fender case. It sounds fantastic with that real P bass growl when the treble is full on or a smoother tone when rolled off. The only real wear is where the bridge cover has sat on the area around the bridge, minor scuffs and blemishes elsewhere and a beautiful clean neck. No trades and I’d prefer pickup. I could be persuaded to post at buyers cost and arrangement but only in the UK. More pictures on request. Cheers
  22. I had a flightcased vintage 74 Odyssey have it’s main circuit board come adrift from the synth in transit. It must have been dropped from a great height as it was a pro old school Rainbow case with internal foam and the case was boxed and padded externally also. Fortunately the board was undamaged and easily fixed. The guy who I bought it from had sent it via Hermes! He did have the courtesy to refund my £60 postage that I thought was paying for insured UPS however 🙂
  23. Yes I’m very cautious about posting unless I can double box it.
  24. This synth is boxed and in near mint condition and comes with all accessories. It’s from a limited edition of 2000 and this one is number 0666 so it’s a devil of a synth. If you are looking you know what it is and what it’s capable of. A fabulous synth with lots of functions and options - too many for me hence the sale! So here it is. I’d prefer pickup in person I know it’s boxed but it is very heavy and probably ridiculously expensive to insure. You can organise your own courier if you are in the UK at your own cost and risk of course but it would have to be insured and through UPS or Parcelforce. I’m in Lancaster. No trades. More pics on request.
  25. Cheers Karl, it is a nice looking and sounding bass. Didn’t realise how rare this model is - my first US Jazz was a black and maple version made in the same year.
