  2. They appear to have a fine selection of various bodged together ‘instruments’ with optimistic prices available.
  3. Thanks it’s a full 34”
  4. I bought this recently having always wanted to try one when I was at school. Unfortunately it’s rather heavy for me at 5kgs so having given it some TLC it’s up for grabs. It’s a Japanese made Washburn Scavenger bass with its original case. I doubt you’ll find one in such good condition - apart from the odd finish scratch and tarnish to the brass saddles it is excellent. The pickup looks like a Dimarzio and sounds pretty beefy it’s an incredibly well made bass typical of a Japanese made instrument from this era. It’s all original and the neck is straight and true with lots of life in the frets. It’s been cleaned and set up with a decent set of strings. No trades thanks. I’m happy to post in the UK at buyers cost.
  5. Ah he’s changed the ad now - a little more honesty in the description.

  8. Very nice, I’ve seen this one before - I may even have owned it I’ve had so many! I have both my JVs - a Precision and a Jazz and have owned them for more years than I care to remember. These are serious basses. Who buys this will not be disappointed.
  9. A fantastic bass and service from Jarek I wouldn’t hesitate to trade with or buy from him again. Highly recommended.
  10. I emailed him asking about the weight and the make and he replied - 9lbs. Make of that what you will but it certainly looks nice.
  11. Ah that must have been 2020 BC (before corona)
  12. I’d say they were incredibly dissimilar but an interesting bass nonetheless 😉
  13. They are super rare - each of the three. times I’ve come across one on sale I’ve bought it but most are incredibly heavy for their puny size so I’ve ended up selling them on. Yours reminds me of the first one I bought which had a replacement scratchplate. This mapleglo one is a lightweight at 4.5kgs and manageable. The long scale version 3001 is even heavier averaging at 11lbs!
  14. That looks superb Clarky and yes it’s not to everyone’s taste but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
  15. I’ll leave this here shall I? 1976 Ric 3000 and original case. Lovely.
  16. Squier VM Mustang Bass Black and maple Mustang bass with through body stringing. It is the one with the Duncan Design pickups. It’s in great condition with some dings but no issues or marks to the neck. The original owner had a tug bar installed and a pickup cover which has been removed. It’s a great little bass and a very recent purchase however I’m not getting on with the short scale. Weighs 3.6kgs. No gigbag but I can box and send it in the UK for around £20. No trades and UK only.
  17. Darren bought a nice early Status headless bass off me. Great communication and fast payment. A credit to Basschat! Enjoy the bass.
  18. Getting this thread back on topic I’m reducing the asking price by £20 on account of finding damage to the lacquer where the cover screw has over zealously been attached. See pic. It’s not visible at all with the cover on but obviously some people won’t like the covers. Now £270.
  19. A flurry of interest for this at the moment .
  20. My first gigging amp was a T60 and a purple painted Foundation cab. My Dad bought me the T60 rig for £30 as I was at school aged 14 - this was in the early 80s and nobody wanted these amps now they fetch very high prices! It was ok through the big cabs and I used a Fender Musicmaster. I played a few gigs then sold it for £35 and bought a Carlsbro Cobra.
  21. Yes 1966 AC50 stack I’ve got some cloth on order for the cab. Both amp and cab have been together for 53 years!
  22. Squier Classic Vibe 70’s Precision Bass This bass was purchased as a back up for my original 70’s Precision. Other than being set up and played at home a couple of times it’s not been used in anger. When I got it I was astonished by the quality of the construction and finish. The neck is slightly slimmer than my original and obviously the block markers are different however they look great. It is relatively light weight at 4.1kgs. This is a fantastic instrument for the money. It’s been professionally set up with Ernie Balls. No bag or case but has it’s original manual and Allen keys. I don’t want trades sorry. I also don’t post overseas these days. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK at buyer’s cost. Please note days I can post are limited because of work. Last picture is with my old faithful ‘79 Precision.
